In part 3 of this Piper Arrow interior restoration, we install the Headliner in the PA 28R-200. While a little challenging, its not as difficult as I expected. It just takes time and patience.

Having done this in a car and a boat i've learned the best way to install headlining is to pay a professional to do it.

LOL… maybe a tiny bit:). Overall not really that bad. Especially now that I know what to expect doing it again would be easier… just a little warm that day and it hard to find a comfortable position. Thanks so much for watching and commenting

Excellent job and great work. You should have had a helper. They have a team of people who are doing this and they do it for a living.

I"m in the same boat (or rather plane?) with my '62 Cherokee. After watching this I'm debating just painting or gluing another vinyl layer to the existing headliner. Thoughts?

I think the glue would bleed through. It’s really not that bad once you get it started. Just do it when the temperature is comfortable and you’ll be fine

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Just subscribed to your channel, nice job on the plane. Do you notice a difference in sound with the soundproofing vs old fiberglass insulation? Worth it?

I think there is. I think it also does a better job with temperature. Also I think the fiberglass probably held a lot of the old smells, dust etc. the new stuff won’t do that.
