When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne's Revenge," the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past. @CroweDharma, his sword contains a emerald of Triton. It gives the sword special powers. And yes, on top of that, Blackbeard uses voodoo.

@HtheKing777 Lets say: Black Pearl- undead/virtually indestructible, fastest ship, built in fog machine, custom black paint. Flying Dutchman- greatest firepower, can submerge, can traverse between land of the living/dead, comes with pet Kraken. Queen Anne's Revenge- flame thrower installed, comes with telekinetic sword, short speed burst using sword. Jolly Roger- can fly.

I agree. Davy Jones is much more terrifying than Blackbeard and the Flying Dutchman appears from inside the water. Queen Anne's Revenge can't do that.

Naw sorry, Davy Jones wins hands down. Although this scene was pretty badass, u just cant beat the cruelness and just badassery(i know its not a word) that Davy Jones commanded even when he was under Beckett's control.

Now I'm not saying that this film was shit, but well really, what on earth was it. I have passed angular and particularly stubborn turds that I count as better pieces of cinematic entertainment than this particular film. I live in Bristol, and I've been to Blackbeard's favourite pub... the Llandoger Trow. He supposedly lived in Bristol (which at that time was one of the main Pirate ports of the world) and, if you believe in this kind of thing, is supposed to haunt the Llandoger Trow still.

@MrWerehog23, This film is based of Tim Powers's novel: On Stranger Tides. And in that book, Blackbeard and other pirates where using voodoo. So that part of the book was used in the film AND they made Blackbeard's sword very special (not part of the book).

@MLFive I agree. I think that Davy Jones his more cruel than Balackbeard but Davy Jones was in love and still suffers from that and Barbosa really loves his monkey XD But as you said Blackbeard wins because he is capable of sacrificing anyone even his own daughter.

Barbossa can be found in every movie of the Pirates of the Caribbean. He dies in the first movie of the Pirates of the Caribbean, but Tia Dalma (Calypso) gets him back from Davy Jones's Locker. Davy Jones is seen in two movies, because in the third movie he dies. Blackbeard is only in one movie and I don't think he will return in the fifth movie of the Pirates of the Caribbean because he died in the fourth movie, Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides (2011).

@Syrus7sk DONT READ IF U HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE! Id have to go with the Flying Dutchman tbh, Black Pearl is cool and its got speed but the Dutchman is just awesome the way it looks. Queen Anne's has fire it can spew out from the front during the mermaid scene but the ropes are mainly controlled by the sword of Blackbeard not Blackbeard himself.
