Kari the Babysitter had seriously better be in Incredibles 2!

You know, Kari was always a pretty good babysitter. I mean, even with a magical superhero baby. Like, she learned his powers, and by the end she was ready for them. Like mirror = Check. Fire extinguisher = Check. She just got it done. And imagine how she could be with a none superpower baby. Amazing. She even tries to teach the baby words. Wow. Jack Jack should appreciate that :]

There's two obvious points in this video he isn't considering: 1)The movie clearly states the Syndrome has worked for the Government, when the girl says to Bob that they aren't supposed to exist for it. 2.Syndrome knew where the Pare lived simply because the tablet Bob took home sent the location.

I can't help but laugh every time I hear Syndrome say "and got busy!" or "this is just too good"; the way he says them is just so...great.

For that last point, Bob took home a fancy identifying device, it’s not far-fetched to assume it has a tracker in it as well. The rest of the theory sounds pretty legit though

Syndrome was a defense contractor for the US government who went rogue? it's pretty clear throughout the movie that Syndrome is a technical genius. He's developed virtually indestructible robots, jet shoes, and zero-point energy. How did he get the funding for all of these weapons, how did he have access to a private island, and how come nobody seemed to care that superheroes were dying all over the place. The answer is pretty simple, the government hired Syndrome to develop weapons for them. it starts out like this, Buddy Pine bring the blue prints Omnidroids v.X1 to a meeting to get founding for the Omnidroids project and he brings up a question of what he can use to test it on and one of the government officials suggest using the supers to test the Omnidroids, citing info given to them from different case workers like Rick who had to pay people to keep things quiet, erase memories and relocate the supers in question, so much that it was getting very exhausting and too expensive for the government. so from the government's perspective who cares of a few supers go missing it saves them tax payers money that can be then be used elsewhere, and they no longer have to worry about a super who can't Quail his or her damn itch to be hero like they were in the early 1950's this would also explain why Buddy had the nsa (National Supers Agency) file's on computer because the goverment gave him the file's. here is a list of the supers he went throw before Gazerbeam Universal Man, Psycwave, Everseer, Macroburst, Phylange, Blazestone,Downburst, Hypershock, Apogee, Blitzerman, Tradewind, Vectress. the project goes smoothly for a couple years until 1970 during Omnidroid 5 test's when they asked Simon J. Paladino/Gazerbeam to return, Simon refused because campian to get equal rights for supers may have been picking up steam. So syndrome was forced to have Simon kidnapped and brote back to the island this end up having some severe ramifications. since Simon J. Paladino was a well-known public figure his disappearance quickly ends up in the news as seen in the the Metroville Tribune newspaper that we see Bob reading simon had been missing for 10 days, that would enoph time for them to bring in Stormicide, Gamma Jack. The government gets put on edge and decide to pull the plug on the Omnidroid project because Simon J. Paladino was a public figure and government did not want to risk the project getting traced back to them (the government probably feared that if the supers discovered their involvement in the Omnidroid project it could lead to a full-scale revolt). heres a link to the Metroville Tribune newspaper ohmy.disney.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Toy-story-of-terror-trivia-Gazerbeam-civilian-name.jpg syndrome then creates Operation Krono planning to use the very weapon he was creating for the government against them for pulling the plug on the project. what further cements my believe that the government was involved in this plot is Dicker's line "We've frozen all of Syndrome's assets. If he even sneezes, we'll be there with a hanky and a pair of handcuffs. " This was literally seconds after mr incredible and his family along with Frozone, defeated Omnidroid v.10. which means that the government was aware that Syndrome had gone rogue with the weapon and use it for his own self interests, and instead of owning up to their involvement, they let the supers take care of the mess, and blamed this massive weapon project on a crazed Lunatic with delusions of grandeur, and wiped their hands off of this potential PR mess by focusing on the return of superheroes.

You can tell a lot of people in these comments haven’t watched the Incredibles in such a long time since they keep thinking the Parr family was able to see Jack Jack using his powers despite being too high in the sky. Lol.

the NSA files say frozone got his powers around 2 years old but Psycwave got hers as a teen and abused them before the NSA found her, and also other supers seem kind of bad too like gammajack, blazestone, and hypershock. Also the NSA also hired Edna whom seemed shocked that jack jack didn't have powers, also the Parr family lived there 3 years and live 1 hour away from Edna and new Dash and Violet's powers.

1. Syndrome could’ve had all his assets under his real name, and since Bob knew who he was, they could’ve just done a search of all his property and froze them. The government doesn’t need to interact with the individual first hand in order to have the ability to freeze their assets. 2. Mirage was able to locate Bob through his place of work. Don’t you think it would’ve been easy for her to find his home, too? She most likely had all that info on file before he even sets foot on the island.

A baby's first powers is like a baby's first steps. You can't just see someone else's baby walking and let the parents know that they missed their child's first steps! So that's why Rick didn't tell the Parrs about Jack Jack's powers.

I know this doesn't have much to do with the theory, but I think it's an interesting choice on Pixar's part to give Rick an ill-fitting suit. It's so baggy that it makes me wonder if Rick himself is a super or something. Maybe he can get super yoked out at a moment's notice? Dunno, but it's weird.

I think Kari has villain potential... She slowly began to lose her mind because of the faded memories she still has of Jack Jack's powers and she will do anything to prove she was right

Awesome analysis, but you left out the part that always drives me nuts about Dicker! He drives the Parrs to their home, Helen starts freaking out, "Replacement! I didn't call a replacement!" They all dash out of the car in a panic, and .... Dicker just leaves like nothing's wrong! "Thanks, Rick! A little help would have been appreciated as our arch-nemesis tries to kidnap our child, but drive home safe!" It's just another one of those moments that makes me feel like Rick really would be a fantastic villain if Incredibles 3 gets made, because there are all of these moments that make Dicker look really suspicious but they kind of fade into the background and the general audience would never expect him!

Something to add is that at the end of the movie after Rick stops at the Parrs house; he and the car are gone afterwards. Now it’s possible that Bob told Rick to drive away right before they charged in but, maybe the case was that Rick told the driver “drive away, syndrome has the rest” who knows

I have an Incredible theory if you wanna tackle it. Since the movie took place in the 60s and it looks like Edna is around her 50s she could be dead by the time this came out. I started thinking and thought, What if Edna was one of the first Supers? Now hear me out, Edna was at the Parrs wedding in the 50s, 15 years later she still looks the same and if we are talking about the video now and she’s still designing that would make 110 years old and still look the same. What if the reason she designed for supers was because she knew about indestructible fabrics and the government knew about her and signed her on. One of the easiest things the government might have been working on, is the power to never age. So I think they picked her to design the suits and and since she was might have wanted something out of it she could have gotten those powers. I also think that the government was planning on doing this for awhile if it wasn’t for all the trouble that happened and needed Edna for the job.

Syndrome could have know his address without someone tipping him off by just putting a tracking device in the tablet Mirage snuck into his suitcase. After watching the message the tablet self destructs hiding the fact there is a tracking device hidden within, this would explain how Syndrome knew where he lived without knowing his family situation. This is just conjecture on my part though, love your videos keep up the good work!

One thing I noticed that you said about Frozone being the original target by Mirage in the beginning of the film, thus would make sense bc bob ends up inside the volcano and Frozone would be powerless so I think that Syndrome knew that and planned on destroying Frozone in that way. I hope that makes sense

If the agent must disclose said information to build trust and/or rapport, use all known information, properly rephrased until exhausted before any new information is added and only the amount needed to achieve the mission objective. Besides, if you want to know who is working for Dickerson, look no further than the high clearance support staff.

As for Syndrome knowing their address, maybe he learned about it when that message was sent to him, but because he couldn't really stalk Bob, never learned about the kids or Elastigal also being there. He could have done some quick research on there location after he learned about it as well, maybe before he launched the Omni-droid, as a back-up plan and that's when he learned about Jack Jack.... or just wen't there to plan a revenge ambush, saw the babysitter's car, put 2 and 2 together, and then thought up of the plan to kidnap Jack Jack. As for Rick Dicker knowing about the powers and not telling, maybe he thought they knew, it was their baby after all, or maybe he dose tell them and Bob is just super excited to see them for the first time. Still interesting theory.

I always thought it odd, how Syndrome somehow made it all the way to the Par's home, way before they did, even though he was knocked out most of the fight by his own robot. He had no idea until the family showed up on the island that Bob was even married, let alone had kids, and possibly had more kids back home. And we know he made it home way before the Par's because Kari called Elasti Girl and left messages about a new sitter showing up to take over watching Jack-Jack. How did he know? Or was this just a lapse in continuity in the writing? I think it actually may have been an error in the writing. I think maybe Syndrome was supposed to die from his robot, but at the last minute someone on production said "No save him, we can use him in the sequel" but then that got changed again so they added in the omage to "NO CAPES" and had him die because of his cape, but in order to do that they had to have him show up somehow for a last hurrah. I dunno, seems really messy when you break down the order of events.

Please do a video about Mirage's superpowers. In the video message she mentions: "According to the government, neither of us exists" Is she hidden because she is a super? Is this why Syndrome is attracted to her? Because "He is attracted to power, it is a... weakness we share" Why does she phrase this a "weakness"? What if Mirage is her alias and alludes to something she is capable of? According to the Hero files, Downburst initially isn't accepted as a hero and has to work to become one. Does this mean there are Supers that aren't heroes? Is Mirage one of them? Plz discuss

Well, I mean, Syndrome could have found out the location of their house by attaching a tracking device to the self destructing tablet Mirage gave Bob and also it could be linked to how they managed to obtain their home phone when Mirage straight up calls it.

For the address, if he was able to find out where he worked, I'm sure he could find out where he lived. As for not knowing about Mrs. Parr, you mentioned that they waited until they use their powers before confronting them. Considering her powers are quite silent and she probably rarely used them outside of the house (since she is also a stay at home mother thus wouldn't be in a business setting for hours and thus wouldn't adapt to it and used her powers unintentionally), they wouldn't know who she was. It sounded like he wasn't surprised that Mr. Incredible was married but was surprised at the fact he married Elastic Girl.

Don't take this the wrong way but I thought it was obvious that syndrome got his money by inventing for governments. If not outright stated in the first film it is at the very least heavily implied.

Make a theory on "Harry potter and the portrait of what looked like a large pile of ash.

Okay, this one is way late. But I remember seeing this theory a while back when it first dropped, now having seen the Incredibles 2, I have a point I'd like to make. So, one of the main points in this video's theory is the whole Kari/Dicker scene, and how Dicker knew Jak Jak had powers but failed to tell the Par family. What I'm about to suggest doesn't disprove the overall theory of this video. But what it does, is shuffle the timeline a bit. (possibly) So, First. I believe that Dicker's conversation with Kari is after the events of The Incredibles 2. I know that sounds strange, but hear me out. My next question is, what happened to Dicker after the events of the Incredibles 2? We see him packing up his office in a Hawaiian shirt since the program has dried up. But, (spoilers) supers are legal again by the end of the film. Wouldn't it be plausible that he got his job back? Remember, Dicker was the Par's "handler" since before supers were outlawed. And it would be easy to assume that the would bring him back on as the Par's "handler" again since he spent so much time with the family. Can we all agree that this is a possibility? If we're all agreed, then I will explain my thought. Violet and Dash leave Jak Jak with Kari as they go help their parents. While babysitting, Kari plays Mozart which triggers Jak Jak's powers. Jak Jak then runs amuck and terrorizes poor Kari. (though, to her credit, she's a steller babysitter, seeing as she did not run for the hills immediately) Syndrome shows up and she believes him to be the replacement, (as Hellen said she would be calling a babysitting service) The Par family deals with Syndrome and they are moved to the motel by Dicker. Now, it can't be too long after their home is destroyed that they're at Dash's the track meet. Probably a few weeks since Dash would have had to sign up, attend practice, and they finally go to a meet. (however, he could have been taken on separate seeing as he could run literal circles around everyone else) Regardless of the time frame, it isn't very long after they deal with Syndrome that the Underminer arrives. The way they talk around the dinner table suggests its only been a few weeks. Now, at this point, Kair has only told a few people about Jak Jak, but they all "think she's being funny" You could think that Dicker caught wind of this, as he works for the government, dealing with secrets, but the odds of that happening in the 60's are very low. So, maybe the Par family told him about Kari, and that she was watching Jak Jak before Syndrome took him. Which lead him to investigate her. More likely, but I still feel like he wouldn't need to interrogate her as he does. As far as he knew, she didn't discover any secret identities. So, why run her through Jak Jak's story? (possibly he could have been working with Syndrome and didn't want any witnesses, though the Par's knew about Syndrome since their house was destroyed by his Jet) Anyway, I believe that the events of the Incredibles 2 take place. Bob finds out Jak Jak has powers, gets overwhelmed, and take Jak Jak to Edna's. Where she discovers that Mozart stimulates his powers. She tells Bob, who then goes about the movie without thinking about it. They save the day, supers are legalized, and Dicker gets his job back. Now, sometime after the Screenslaver situation, Bob tells Hellen about his experience with Jak Jak's "first" powers. He brings up the visit to E's and goes over everything she told him. Which includes the Mozart bit. Hellen, being the detective that she is, could easily put two and two together. That Kari mentioned that she was planning on playing Mozart for Jak Jak, she left strange voicemails about how Jak Jak has special needs and was having a panic attack, and finally that he is stimulated by Mozart. She would ask the reinstated Dicker to look into it, which he does and finds out that Kari saw Jak Jak's powers. Leading him to erase her memory. So there you have it. Kari's Memories were erased after the events of The Incredibles 2. Tell me what everyone thinks. Is this possible? Do you agree? and Ben and Jay, if you two see this, maybe do a theory on it.

I don't usually comment on videos, even if they're made by creators I love, but I just have to say I adore this channel! J and Ben's love for Pixar and Disney are so charming, and the new ideas and theories they bring to the table are so much fun. :') You guys are such a joy to watch! Also, I love The Incredibles too, J, and I totally agree that Syndrome is one of the best villains. I really wish he could be the antagonist in the second one too, since he was genuinely scary, competent, intimidating, cunning as hell, and absolutely ruthless. Also, I loved this theory! I've thought the same thing before, about the government having a hand in Syndrome's plan to destroy the supers, at least somewhat. :')

Very cool theory - I only see one thing potentially wrong with it. You said it was awfully convenient that Bob got the offer from Syndrome right after Dicker's scene, but Mirage gave Bob what I like to call "the self-destructive exposition iPad thingy" right as Bob left for the meeting with his boss where he lost his temper to begin with, which led into Dicker being called over to begin with. It is possible that after seeing Bob and Lucius went into action as superheroes again that was when Dicker decided enough was enough, but I dunno, it doesn't really gel as well with what little we know about the guy. Besides, I like Dicker's character in general, it's actually kinda refreshing to have a government liason to superheroes who has good intentions. Nice video as always though!

Only slight problem with this theory: how could Mr. and Mrs. Incredible not know that Jack-Jack had powers at the end of the first film when they see him transform and kill Syndrome (or put him in a situation that leads to his death, anyway) during the climax? Unless I'm not remembering this properly.

Mirage finds him the same day he blows his cover because HE JUST BLEW HIS COVER and Syndrome's team are actively searching for supers.

As for the thing about His location, Mirage knows his location as she sent the message tablet there, might’ve seen jack jack then but not elastagirl. Or syndrome after being Told that Bob and Helen “got busy” he might’ve been on the lookout to find dash or violet at say, school or while they were alone so was then monitoring phone calls from their house, and stumbled upon Kari’s voicemail. Or perhaps he went to their house to ‘greet them’ when they returned but instead found a baby to hold hostage.

I totally agree with this whole theory and I have thought about it before, however, when putting the pieces together Syndrome would have already know the Parr's address because of when he / Mirage sent Mr. Incredible the video message beforehand. And yes the question still remains, how did Syndrome know about Jack-Jack. My theory is that he was going to go back to the house in the first place and wait for the family to arrive back home, but saw a better opportunity when he arrived. Love Y'all's videos, big time fan, just seeing what you thought about this part.

Hey guys! I have a theory to run by you. I think that Mirage and the new super Voyd are related. First theres the physical similarities. Both have silver hair. You can see in a video by Jace Diehl on an Incredibles 2 poster that Voyd has silvery blue hair. Also both have pale, blue-green, almond shaped eyes and tanner skin. and the story backs it up too. Mirage was in very deep wit Syndrome, and definitely had some connections in the National Supers Agency. If she was helping Syndrome find and destroy all the supers, that means she would have some access to a registry of supers. Even though Voyd is a WANNABE super, I think this is where Mirage's support of Syndrome would come in. If Mirage's little sister was rejected by the Supers Agency, she would have a reason to want the elite club of supers out of the way. (There's more evidence, but its too much to put in a comment. Please notice my theory)
