Growing up in the Catholic Church, this is the language in which it was sung and I much prefer it sung in Latin as it is here by Placido Domingo than in Italian. Just my opinion.

Esta música llega al alma. Tengo 75 años, y en este encierro involuntario por la pandemia, acá en mi casa de Miraflores en Lima, durante esta Semana Santa, sin misas, procesiones y sermones, me siento complacido con esta hermosa Ave María, solo comparable con la de Gounod. Escuchar esta melodia me hace pensar que pese a todo, vale la pena vivir.

el ave maria es la melodia bella entre las bellas, es decir lo maximo y cuando la canta placido domingo, al iniciar se toca con los dedos el labio superior , igual cuando termina de cantarla, seña que conoce los.misterios celestales ocultos en esta melodia y que muy.pocos lo saben. infinitas bendiciones no me canso de escucharla
