Prime Minister John Major fought for the ratification of the Maastricht Treaty. Margaret Thatcher actively opposed the Maastricht Treaty. She declared in a speech in the House of Lords that she "could never have signed that Treaty" Major was also responsible for thousands of job losses and hundreds of bankruptcy s, then blamed his chancellor who wanted to withdraw before damage was done. Major was forced to withdraw the pound sterling from the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM), after a failed attempt to keep the pound above the lower currency exchange limit mandated by the ERM Other bits of Sovereignty were given with other agreements not voted for by the public, Like Lisbon treaty under Blair.

Very interesting, that bit on the NO2. You might find it interesting to know that the Netherlands suddenly started to regard NO2 as some kind of nerve gas which needs to be ausradiert, and in order to do that they are decimating the farming population, because there is nothing better than being totally dependent on other countries for your food supply. The EU, besides being a slush fund, is also a directive generator. You put a coin in the slot and a directive pops out. So the EU has now decided what is nature and what isn't, and designated areas all across the EU as 'Natura 2000' areas. It must be said that it isn't the EU pointing out these bits of land, it is the member nations themselves. So the French named about 5 where the directive will be enforced, and much smaller country Holland thought it would be great to assign 40 areas to this scheme. What the directive means in short, that original vegitation has to grow in those areas, and not silly stuff like grass, bushes and trees, because Holland's original vegetation apparently was fields of heather. So for a couple of months they've been cutting down trees like mad in order to fulfil their obligations. Moreover, the NO2 levels are deemed too high for this project, and they have blamed farming for this. Protests have been rampant ever since and the authorities even deploy the army to stop the farmers. But because Holland has committed itself to this thing, activist groups seize the day to have it enforced through the courts. Because nobody is really in charge in this country anymore. So the court ruled against the government (although this was the plan) and all building projects have halted and the economy took a battering. Then they found two loopholes to get out of this. Firstly they deemed burning trees for fuel was not CO2 unfriendly and nice company Vattenfall was supplied with decimated Dutch forest to fuel their powerplants. Next, and here come the interesting bit, they LOWERED THE SPEEDLIMIT on all express ways from 130 to 100kms per hour. So, be warned, this NO2 nonsense is a scam and environmental marxist groups will use it to kill your economy.

Here in Victoria (Australia) we’ve had a curfew in Melbourne for months. They have just eased restrictions in regional Victoria and police have put a ‘ring of steel’ around the metro area. If you are caught trying to leave Melb to go into the country you will be fined almost $5000. And if you try to rally against the curfew, riot police are out in force. This is the unbelievable state of the dictatorship in this state. To add insult to injury, it wasn’t the people who started the worst out break in Australia, it was the Victorian government who failed with quarantine and contract tracing resulting in 700 deaths. Diabolical.

Covid madness reigns OK!

Mike himself for being such a doofus on assuming 50,000 HSBC staff can get up to their offices fine in a lift one/two people at a time. Even with staggered shifts, the guys logic is ludicrous. I’m all up for solution finding but Mike showed such juvenile idiocy on this subject matter (and continues to do so). What an utter plank. He used to be so logistical but of late he has gone completely loco and lost his marbles. Stop going on and on about how we all have a duty to save the high streets and offices. Wikipedia entry in 50 years ‘the human race used to endure shopping on what was known at the time as the high street.’ What a muppet.

For Plank of the Week I nominate Mike Graham, even though on many points he and I would agree. First, he is a journalist. Never a good look in my book. Better than being a member of the legal profession, though. Last, he has put up relatively little struggle against the insane impositions of the "government" ("I wear a mask"). Now, like so many, he is whingeing about the insane Rule of six. If you can't see the irony, then you must be a plank. Great show, by the way. I hope to be able to tune in again. PS I would love to see the TalkRadio maskers sit through a two hours TalkRadio session while wearing a mask, all together if possible. PPS Can you point me to a TalkRadio presenter who has successfully dealt with a national pan(dem)ic, please.

That's a good point on the pub though. At what point do you become a "group of 6" If 7 people stand ½m apart then person 1 is >2m from person 7. So only 6 of the 7 at one time are within 2m. If 14 people break into 2 groups of 6 and 1 of 2. And the couple sit in between the 6 groups. How close can they sit together before the couple link the groups together?
