In this week's Friday episode, Patrick and Stuart take a trip back to Chateau de Quantilly to pick up eight large planters from friends Gary and Jojo's chateau. They show a shopping trip to a large local nursery and then head back to the chateau to set it all up around the courtyard fountain. Patrick and Stuart also have a visit from friend and patron Irene from Denmark who brings her embroidery machine to create custom napkins that match the new color of the chateau dining room.

The fountain and planters look lovely, and to get 8 matching is quite an accomplishment. Enjoyed seeing all the wagging tails too. So nice of Irene to embroider the napkins for you. Hi sweeties. Sorry for this late reaction. I was busy. The planters on all corners make it more together. The dogs are always curious and love that they can roam around the courtyard. The embroidery on the napkin is beautiful. Irene is a lovely lady. Stuart, Patrick, live the idea of a website . Will take lots of hours of filming and editing for Stuart. This was fun. If you don't know how you should learn to take cuttings from your beautiful roses. They are gorgeous and you should duplicate them through out. 😀 Irene is a great guest to have - customized napkins - what a lovely contribution.

I hadn't yet given my opinion on the fountain. With this new video and this acquisition of pottery, it’s done. I therefore take this opportunity to say that not only do I find it very elegant, but that once again, thanks to your very sure taste, you have avoided the trap of kitsch into which it is very easy to fall with this kind of decoration. As usual, Patrick's humor worked, and he made me burst out laughing : above all, don't change anything. A big congratulation to Irene for her magnificent embroidery work. Finally, a final word for the dogs who come to life in this idyllic setting: their appearance is always a joy and renewed happiness

We searched for a while to find a fountain that was not kitschy. As you mentioned, there are so many terrible colours and shapes that just do not look right. Glad you like the new look. The eight planters look wonderful around the lovely fountain. I believe the supervisors were instrumental in the success. All of the flowers are beautiful, but for me especially the roses. The embroidered napkins will be nice at a formal dinner. Take care my friends, Ralph Rocchiccioli

Where do I begin , first Patrick & Stewart , you both work so hard you must be EXAUSTED everynight when the day is done , whew ! Stewart , I always feel at such peace while watching, your video's & listening to your music selections .It is quite clear that the Chateau loves you both as well , It is amazing that everything you have cut back and planted the last couple of years has come back so full. Ok , ok , sorry this is so long ,but two more things and I will stop, The fountain and the sounds are incredible ,absolute favorite as well as seeing the INSPECTORS checking things out. What a great idea to put the big planter pots around the fountain as a temporary parterre! And how lucky your friends had them spare in the woods - pre-grown mossy patina. ♥️ The plants in the pots will certainly add to the color and life to the area. Wow, your garden is really blooming! How wonderful! So great your friend and patron brought her machine to do napkins. I agree, I’m sure you’ll have fun making amazing costumes, and other lovely touches here and there. Eight matching planters! Does that qualify as a miracle? And moving them was a master class in team work and "resource management" (i.e. repositioning the van for each quadrant. 😂) Wonderful to see the first stage of the fountain-scape coming together. What a lovely visit I had at Colombe with Patrick and Stuart, and their dogs❤ I am heading home this morning, it’s an almost 5000km trip over 2 days. The chateau is even grander up close and Stuart and Patrick are wonderful hosts! It was nice to help out there too! If you come, rent a car, so you can see some of the surrounding villages and towns!

To find 8 containers of the same kind and design is not easy. They are beautiful and they are "aged". Even It is not the permanent design, certainly they look really pretty with the flowers and make the courtyard really welcoming. Thank you for sharing the beautiful plants that surround the chateau.
