Not true! The way I have it set up is the best, in my opinion, in that I deleted it and now just stare at it unhappily in the library every now and then. Its the best way to enjoy the game!

Don Lothario preference: Is female? She's attractive! I'm using whims mod, and boy, sometimes its gets hard to find a partner! One of my sims had everyone unattractive. And other one made a babby with Dina in the same second they met. ACR - Sims 4 edition 🤣

I CANNOT play without this mod. You can even generate sim’s attractive preferences based on specific sims without having to set up everything individually. It’s so good

It's insane how Wonderful Whims adds storytelling so easily into the Sims 4! Liberty and Summer are attracted to Travis, and he thinks they're cute and all, but the woman he REALLY likes is Eliza. Now THAT'S fun! It's crazy that the modders are able to fix the underlying problems in the Sims 4 much better than EA (or at least, as much as EA has attempted. . .). Wow.

After installing the mod it seems like everybody finds Eliza Pancakes attractive in my game. But like no one finds my sim attractive because I have her cc eyelashes that are in the glasses category and no one that I think would look good with my sim is attracted to her. It's frustrating because it adds a bit of a challenge to the game and I just keep having to change the storyline in my head.

I started Wonderful Whims yesterday! what a difference in my game, I played 6 hours non stop! It's been a while since I enjoyed the actual game that much without been bored and switching to build mode.

What i want even more is unrequired love. Different friendship and love levels for each sims. I think it would be fun if sims felt different about each other . Because when two sims have same friendship or love points it's just kinda boring. But i guess it's not possible, even as a mod

You know what happened with the Wicked/Wonderful Whims mod installed? Several Sims rejected my Sim... something that in the base game NEVER happens. I can't understand how EA can't do that.And the best part of that mod is that even, who the Sims find attractive depends on their traits. A romantic Sim like Don will constantly find attractive Sims, however, a genius Sim is really picky.

If this ends up working out this tremendous issue, the sims 4 will instantly become so much more playable and less boring. Thanks for testing out these solutions for this very, shallow and flat game that should’ve been obsolete ages ago.

Just wanted to jump in and raise my hand with Cindy - it's so working, lol. I've got my poor bachelor sim out here tryna find his OTP, and while he and Summer find each other attractive, they're still having a hard time building up their relationship. It's because of their archetypes, which are scored based on traits - they don't really sync up. It makes me think of those people you find really hot, but once you start talking to them, you're like "Oh. Well that's a big nope." 😂 Meanwhile, he thinks Nancy Landgraab is extremely attractive, and I have to keep those two away from each other when they're both on a lot. Otherwise, he auto-flirts with her despite him being the equivalent of a knowledge sim. I'm like "Awww, I like you too much to see you get involved with all their mess". 😂

Wonderful whims has one sided relationships too. My roommate find my sim attractive, but my roommate doesnt find him attractive. He serenaded my sim while she was doing homework 😂 I love this mod!

Chemistry mods are my favorite type of mods, And there are SOO MANY, for example, Radiophobe's zodiac sign mod, based on each sign sims have, the sims are going to interact diferently between eachother and stuff and stuff like that, There are so many chemistry mods that I can't listen them here

I’m glad to see a tamer alternative to Wicked Whims! I loved all the side features so much that I just had to force myself to put up with them going off to have woohoo all the time or random sims woohooing in my sims bed at parties. So happy all the fun side features are its own mod now!!

I feel like the mods actually would work wonderfully combined, because the first one is just about the traits and skills and the "personality" of a sim and how well they get along, while the second one is about the physical attraction (i have wicked whims and the attraction system is the only thing keeping my gameplay fresh honestly). like imagine the possibilities, 2 sims have terrible chemistry but theyre insanely attracted to each other! the friendly chemistry is the same for both sims, because its a shared experience, but one might think the other is attractive, while the other might not even like the way they look or even have the fundamental preference for that gender. i feel like combining the physical and friendly chemistry sims have towards each other gives you 2 new ways to define their relationship to one another, i also long for the time when a mod adds specific tags to a relationship (one sided) like "childhood crush", "flirty coworker", "failed confession", "remarried", "weird acquaintance", it would be such an adventure to try and discover them all, and they occur in specific circumstances and actions, it would just be incredible and so much fun to play with and explore. I am so happy to have been introduced to the friendly chemistry mod from your video, I am on my way to download it right now! haha

I had the exakt same thought and I tried it yesterday, works really well for me (no compatibility issues yet) and makes the game so much more interesting! Had given up on the sims 4 and these mods have honestly saved it for me 🙏

I'm also longing for a proper chemstry system mod. There is also Etherias Romance overhaul which has both physical and personality things, but its still pretty new.

It's hard to test these things on Don. Don is the outlier. He will always climb mountains to find women. Nothing will stop his quest. He is the best!

I agree. Sims 2 is best - especially when it comes to chemistry. But Wonderful Whims adds some of the functionality back to Sims 4, so I am happy about that!

You should add Cornelia Goth's house, since she didn't die until Mortimer was an elder, and right after Bella was abducted(Sims 2 Mortimer's memories). Her mansion would have 2 basements, and the second one would have Jocasta Bachelor's urn inside. She would spend so much time with her family, since she's still sad about the death of her husband. She would be enemies with Dina and Michael Bachelor. Michael and Dina are engaged. If you have cats and dogs she has more cats. She also has high painting skill, and is currently painting a painting of Bella Goth. She is friends with Bella, and her second basement is closed off. She is friends with every wealthy sim, and has a rich sim club. She has a high cooking, painting, and piano skill. She is still sad from the death of her husband, but everyone else go over it. She could also have Vivian's dead husbands, as he died by cow plant. She also has many potions of youth, but most are empty, and a cow plant. Jocasta and Simis dies by cow plant. According to sims wiki the Goth seniors died in two separate fires.

I've only found your channel recently but you've gotten me to reinstall my 2 collection from Origin and reobtain the full copy of 3 just for your use of mods to make them more immersive, and now that you're going off and trying to make Sims 4 better for the community, you know... that thing EA clearly doesn't think we want..... utilizing mods is just extremely awesome and shows that the Sims community really wants to care even if EA just cares about what's in our wallets and how to get it into theirs. Thanks for giving a **** where EA clearly doesn't.

Thanks for introducing me to Wonderful Whims, it's such a great mod. After installing I went to the Caliente household and guess what: "Nina thinks Don is very unattractive" :D And when he made a move on her, as he still found her quite attractive (it's Don, he really thinks, all the women are attractive), she got a whim to friendzone him :D It was so funny, I just rolled with it ;) I love this mod :) Edit: I do play with your fixed save (thanks for that, too, it's amazing), so they did have a relationship before WW intervened ;)

I use both! I feel like it’s more realistic, sometimes you have terrible chemistry with someone but think they’re SO HOT. And visa versa. It makes picking a partner, picking close friends more meaningful.

“He just let this woman kiss her hands!” Well yeah. He’s Don Lothario. If it’s vaguely feminine shaped, you know he’s gonna sleep with them. Couple of notes: 1. I’m glad you made J Huntington and Don friends. I definitely got a friend vibe from them. 2. While I definitely like the trait picker, I do wish there was a gender preference setting. For realism’a sake. I mean, I can’t imagine Don reaching for the sausage platter, if you get what I mean.

There is gender preference in Wonderful Whims, but apparently not in the Chemistry system mod (another reason I like WW better). And I agree! Don is as straight as an arrow! HAHA

@@PleasantSims the thing is that the Chemestry system mod isn't a romance thing. As of now it is a general Chemestry system to set the type of people your sim likes being around. That's why it works so well alongside either of the WW.

@@tunzlunz I play with both mods and haven't experienced any conflicts between them. Like Cindy mentioned in her video, in addition to deciding about romances, I use the Chemistry mod to determine who would make good platonic friends and determine which family members get along. I like having both a system based on traits (Chemistry mod) and a system based on physical appearance (WW). You can play out that age old question: Are looks or personality more important?

The one problem I’ve had with Wonderful Whims is that sometimes two Sims that were EXTREMELY attracted to each other become suddenly less attracted or think the other is basic. I’m assuming maybe the hip size changes slightly and suddenly their ideal woman is no longer ideal because she put on a bit of weight. 😆 It’s annoying, though, when two Sims were pretty much soulmates and now find each other unappealing. I’ll probably have to fuss with the settings to fix it.

Yea that happens to me as well. One of my Sims found this one guy extremely attractive and was always thinking about him but as soon as they finally moved in with each other, she only saw him as attractive all because I changed his shirt

Attraction is also based on outfit and makeup, so attraction can change if sims change outfits. Some prefer a formal style of outfit with dark colours, and hate a more urban casual bright coloured style of outfit.

change her attractiveness settings..or u can use the option to generate new attractiveness setting based on her romantic partners (which is a great feature of the mod imo)

I play the Wicked version, and I will say, I love the attractiveness. I will say that the default settings seems to be very heteronormative, and even randomizing things doesn't seems to alter this, though you can still romance someone whom your sim finds attractive without worrying about their gender preference. Also, the "Scope the Surroundings" action goes off after your sim has completed the animation, so sometimes other sims will walk out of range of your "scoping" while you're doing it.

i stopped playing sims 4 a loong time ago and didn't even care for the updates but hearing wonderfulwhims got me excited!! my sims 4 expansion packs are not even complete and i know i'll get more hours of gameplay from this mod than having a full set of expansions and game packs

I love that there is the option of Wonderful Sims for the Attraction system. Prior to this mod which is basically WW (Wicked Whims) light I used WW to have attraction system and menstruation in my game. I love Wonderful Sims menstruation (which is the same as Wicked Whims) better than Slice of Life's menstruation. When Turbodriver created this system for Wicked Whims he asked for input from all the women on the Wicked Whims forums to get an idea of how to implement it into the game which is why it's so well dome. He used the same system with Wonderful Sims. Again it's Wicked Whims Light. Everything you want in Wicked Whims without the stuff you don't want. I'm glad I have the option now to use it or not in my game. Some mods require WW to use like when I do a rag to riches challenge and decide to get really dark with sims. Sometimes I want certain aspects of WW but not have WW at the same time for a story I'm doing in my game. This is why Wonderful Sims is such a great mod. I love the Chemistry system by Pancake1 too. I love seeing what my sims personality traits and skills they prefer too and sometimes even setting these things with my sims. Usually, I'm entertained with sims who are married with terrible chemistry but find each other extremely attractive.

I've been using the Slice of Life mod (it is also very good) to get a chemistry and personality system in my game for a while now. I tried the wicked whims one also but all the hardcore "woohooing" was a bit much. I'm not offended by it or anything its just not something I wanted in my game personally. I really appreciate you doing the mod overview of wonderful whims because i did not know they put out a PG version and I'm more than willing to switch. side note: you should really update your sims with summer and winter clothes. That townie fashion is not it XD

i won't lie -- i've had wickedwhims in my game for awhile, but i've been on such a sims 2 kick that i haven't had the chance to play with all of the attraction features! i'm so excited to find things that actually make me want to play ts4 again!

I've used the attractiveness system of wickedwhims before and one gripe I have is that it can be so time consuming to pick every sim's preferences! Thankfully there's a feature that generates a sim's preferences based on one or more sims. You just select the sims you want your sim to be attracted to and the game generates their preferences 👍🏻

Wicked whims has an option to generate a sim's attraction based on another specific sim. I'm sure that option is in this mod too.

Wonderful/Wicked Whims plus Slice of Life is the ultimate modding combination for sims 4. I could lead every other mod out except these two and have endless fun with the game. Without at least these two, gameplay gets real dry real fast.

Thank you for making this!! Really been hoping for a video that tests out different mods on Sims’ attractive preferences. Though I enjoy WhickedWhims attractiveness system, I think it’s good there are other mods that go more in depth with it. Like being able to pick skill preference is crazy!! I love that this mod bases more than just physical appearance to generate a Sim’s attractive preferences.

Hi, Thank you for the reviews!!! :) I already had installed Wonderful whims and like you I find it's one of the best mod. I know have installed the chemistry mod as well, and boy oh boy they are the greatest combination and made my game so much deeper. I also have slice of life and that is Sims 4 Heaven for gameplay. The chemistry mod + WW has let me see which sims are attracted to each other but also which one was a better fit to her, not only due to physical attraction which WW give but also on a deeper level which I interpret as emotional. All I can say is that the past few date that Lilly (my sims) had were so different based on how the chemistry level was. She one date for who she only have a high attraction and it was a good date but all she wanted was to get physical with him. But with the one she had a good attraction and high chemistry there was the surprise!!!! The automatic culling of action didn't stop they kept on talking even without me doing any action. Another thing I noticed is that friendship with people with no chemistry is kind of rocky one day they are good the other one they are not making harder, especially if they are evil or hot-headed. Anyway sorry for the long post just wanted my experience and maybe ask you to consider doing a small gameplay for a longer run with those 3 mods. ;)

I've had both mods in game together for about 2 years up until Snowy Escape. ThePancake1 is on hiatus and has not updated (yet). Using them together makes the game so much more challenging. I love it.

whims vs kinky world is honestly no contest- not that sims 3 inherently NEEDS as much of an overhaul as 4 does, but its the one thing that makes me want to go back and play 4 because the sheer level of genuine detail and quality of life features is insane. its a fantastic mod and the fact that they have multiple versions of it, for streamers AND a completely sfw version is wonderful accessibility.

The first mod looks really great! Never heard of it before, I need to try it. I actually really like the idea of friendly chemistry and how it's based on what personality and skills they like. That it's about how the sims get along with eachother and not just what they look like

OMG wonderful whims unlocks SO MUCH for me. I've also always been curious abt wicked whims but it seemed too naughty/intense/just generally TOO much for me and this just looks so great!!! And favourite colours, omgggggg

Love this glad you tried the pancake unfortunately i bet both mods will break in the next patch as the next expansion introduces personalitys and memorys which may make some mods redundant if it comes to base game not just the expansion

What sucks is that almost all my mods break with every patch. So annoying! I think the WW creator is very active, though, and I suspect he will have it updated ASAP.

Probably my favourite video on the Sims 4! I totally would love to see more Sims 4 mod overviews - at this rate I'll end up liking the Sims 4 (though not as much as Sims 2, lol!)

Its one of my faves too! Along with SOL and MC Command. Funny thing is I disable ww's personality system to use SOL's system (which is much better imo) and i disable SOL menstrual cycle to use ww's, which is the better of the two.

I downloaded wonderful whims and my favorite character got a perfect match with her friend and not her own husband xD the friend and her husband are kinda alike so I don't know what happened there.

No doubt that not even the chemistry and attraction mods were able to make a sim fall in love with the Muscle Marcus Flex :)).. PS: Love your tests videos and the fact that you put your time into showing us these differences from the game. The sims 4 wouldn't have been half as interesting and humanised as it is if it wasn't for all these mods!

Cindy could you check out kawiistacies life decider mod. Its a mod that gives npc and played sims jobs/skills/relationships ect so that they have a background.

i have one household of 8 sims and they all have different attractiveness with wonderful whims and it makes for drama in the house i have two sims who broke up in favor of more attractive sims one sim who autonomously has been trying to steal his friends girlfriend and its a lot of crazy drama and fun

Ok, I'm just 3 minutes in, but now that the likes and dislikes are out, I'm looking forward to someone making the chemistry system like in sims 2 with steps. Like, without planning it whatsoever, i made my sim with certain likes, aspiration and traits, and what a surprises, our neighbour (although teenager) is very very similar to mine in those things. I think only his color likes/dislikes are different (and one future additional trait) Ok back to the video hahah

Just as a heads up, from what I have noticed from using WW is that you can set the sexual preference generator at a certain level. Ex. Gay 20% Bi 20%, and how each time you do it it will roll every single sim, even those in set relationships so it is best to do this at the beginning of a save. Also the percentage applies to every sim that is generated, so while 40% of my population wasn't straight, it seemed like I was never having any in my generations. So I still roll each sim's sexual preference each time they age up to a ensure that there is a fair amount of options within my played households and otherwise.
