Massey truly makes a value packed product . I had a Deere 1026r for 10 years (sold it last week ) plan to pick up a 1835m this week . Thought I’d always be a green fan but after my dad got the 1725 … I was sold on Massey especially cost vs features vs quality 👍👍👍

I'm a lover of all tractors, I had an older Ford 3000 with a loader before this one. I was nervous about getting such a small tractor, but I think this one is way more useful than my old Ford was, plus its easier to operate! My wife and kids even enjoy using it. Thank you for your comment!

How goes it fellow GC17xx owner! Yeh, plowing with the loader is ok, that's what I did too the first year I had the tractor. If you're worried about damaging the driveway with the bucket (and wearing down the bucket edge on the concrete), check out the Snow Edge by Ratchet Rake. It's like $300, straps onto the bucket, basically like a composite plastic edge. It worked pretty good on my blacktop. Also, a dyi method I keep hearing people use is to cut a slit lengthwise in a pvc pipe the length of the bucket, and slip that over the bucket lip.

Thank you for your comment! I looked into the Rachet Rake snow edge before season started but they were all on backorder at the time so it didn't look like it would arrive for this season. Does snow get stuck in the bucket at all with them? That was my only concern.

Depending how full the bucket got, the screw handles in there would anchor some slushy snow a little bit, yeh. I found that to be less an issue with the bucket curled down a bit, but I would also caution using it that way on unknown terrain. The one thing that bugged me about the snow edge was the mounting screws dimpling my bucket. The part on the snow edge that fits underneath the bucket don't quite make contact with the bucket bottom (at least on our GC buckets), so consequently the screws dented the bucket floor since there was nothing underneath there to support it. Easily remedied by putting some shims under there on the underside of the bucket, but I didn't notice all this until AFTER the winter when I took the snow edge off. Not a huge concern for me, but kinda sux since I coulda prevented it, had I known. Anyways, I totally don't wanna be rude and link vids here, but just search "ratchet rake snow edge" and you'll find a vid of a dude with a GC tractor using one.

It worked pretty good! That is something I really don't have to worry about here. lol If you use salt make sure you pump grease in all your pivot points after your done to push the salt out. It will eat up your pins. Have a good week! See ya!

You can try the float function for the loader. I started with a large “light material” bucket and then I built a hydro turn plow. With the plow, the float function is great.
