This special episode features a precious recording of Thich Nhat Hanh which was previously thought lost. Dating from 2012, it documents an interview journalist Jo Confino conducted with the Zen master in Plum Village’s Toadskin Hut. (Though since remastered, be aware that some background noise remains.)
The conversation covers a wide range of absorbing topics, from the environment, climate change, and civilizational collapse to consumerism, the simple life, 70 years of practicing mindfulness, new Buddhism, passing on, and sangha as continuation.
The recording is introduced by Zen Buddhist monk Brother Phap Huu and Jo Confino, who provide details about the context of the interview and the significance of certain places, people, and events which are mentioned.

"By the time they act...it is too late" Thay was so gentle in his way of teaching us how easily we look the other way. We are more than a decade on from the time this was recorded, but we haven't learned. Thank you for posting, so we can learn again and do better.

Brother Thay masterfully handles those questions. Not once did he indicate agreement with the interviewers beliefs on climate change. He points to non duality throughout. No credit taken for anything as a “ person “ love and compassion is the language he speaks.. humble insight , enlightened master. I absolutely love this being. Witnessing the way he matched brothers immature laughter displaying no ego. This is a priceless perfect interview. Knowing we are in the end times and how it will end matches the insight given by the great sage of our times Shunyamurti of Sat Yoga institute and I believe that listening to Thays words here was my avatars destiny. It has answered a question needing clarity. God is love | love is God , every breath, every footstep , everything is love 💚✨🧬🌀

the interviewer keeps asking effectively the same question .. 'how do you change the world , change other people, influence others behaviour ... and Thay keeps giving the same answer .. BE the change, find happiness in your own life , by being simple, wanting less, not obsessing about 'achieving ', living peacefully .. then you make change by the direct effect of your OWN life and example ... we broadcast what we ARE . like Christ who said to BE like him .. not to simply follow him or make his truth a means to judge others or have power ... but to live authentically
