Trainer Red What good is catching every pokemon if you're crap at battling? Red was FAR too competitive to throw a match. What good is a being beaten for the reason you propose, if you throw the fight? Also, why would Red train in the mountains for so long just to throw a fight? That's like taking a drivers test just to intentionally crash a car. The real fact is that Gold beat Red, despite having less experience, and caught almost every Kanto Pokemon, and every Johto Pokemon, giving him a higher catch total. Marcus Xe The main reason I like Blue as a champion unlike the others is the fact that it's called the Elite "4". The Champion for the first games was a pretty awesome twist, but afterwards it just seems like "it was done before, so let's force another one in." into the champion's slot. At that point I'm surprised it's still called the Elite 4 when everyone knows there's going to be a 5th trainer at the end.

T-tar takes a sh*t- ton from the most common type, Chompy, Salamence, and D-nite take a serious beating from anything even remotely related to ice, and hydreigon... takes double fairy damage. Metagross holds well, most likely because he's supposed to be a literal wall.
