I got to meet a retired coroner, the stories she had was absolutely shocking, she said dealing with the families are often the worst part of the job, and also anything involving kids, takes nerve of steel to do that job for years and years without going insane

Wow.... I know police see some crazy stuff. When I was a teen and young adult, I used to ride with a few different friends with a local towing company. At one point, they had the city contract, so anytime the police needed a tow, tire change, etc, or they needed a drunk drivers car towed or there was an accident, it was us who got called. I've seen cars with more blood than what one would think a human body could hold. I've seen many things that I can't unsee. One of the worst was actually not even our call. Sometimes we would listen to the scanner and go somewhere near a location we were likely to be called to, that way we could be there much quicker once the call came in. Well, there was a motorcycle crash and it was only 2 miles from my friends house, where we were at the time. We immediately jumped in the flatbed (for the motorcycle) and headed over. We got there before any emergency vehicles, so we turned on the lights and blocked the right lane. A few people grabbed the bike and moved it off to the side so traffic could move through in the left lane. This is a major highway, very close to another major highway. It's been made safer since then, but at the time, you could turn directly onto the highway from the side street. The speed limit was 45mph but you'd be lucky not to be passed if you were doing 60. The one thing I still remember vividly to this day, probably about 18 to 20 years later, is the lifeless body of the biker, twisted and mangled in the right lane, while his helmet was shattered about 10 feet away. i was in nyc-ems for 38 years and i spent a lot of time at the police stations and the first thing that happens befor you get put in to a holding cell is they remove your shoe laces and belt for that very reason

I work for Florida D.O.T Ive been working on the highway 25 years now and Ive seen some things I wont describe I say the worst is when family of the deceased comes on scene and loses their F ing mind. We had this girl come on scene ,its was her mother and she just kept screaming , THATS MY MOTHER over and over. I still have night mares from that one.

Pepper spray is very effective. I remember I was once standing in our high school cafeteria when some dude sprayed pepper spray in there. The problem was that I was very close to it and I inhaled it very deeply right in the moment it was sprayed. Bad Luck... So suddenly my nose began to burn, I began to sneeze uncontrollably and then to cough, like everyone else around me. The sneezing and coughing attacks continued the whole day then🥴🙄 and it was sooo super annoying I could barely speak that day because I had to sneeze every minute haha🥴😂, during classes and then at home...explaining it to my parents was not easy😅. Try living a whole day while sneezing all the time, it's not fun😂🤷🏻‍♀️ Although it dissappeared the next day, I still had to cough the following two days multiple times until this stuff was completly out of my breath channel🙄😒. And I only inhaled it so I don't even want to know what it's like to get in on your skin or in your eyes. Maybe I should really buy one and carry it with me🤔, now that I know how effective it is. I mean I was never harassed or something but you never know what could happen out there🤷🏻‍♀️.
