I’m Spanish speaker, I just made some earrings with this technique for me and my sisters and mom, I really love those. Usually when I see videos about 20min I bored but you speak so clear and very interesting and I can understand 🙂 thank you Katie, greetings!!

Katie, I love your creativity. I watch you every day. I made this pendant as earrings and put a little banjo charm that I got from Dollar Bead Box on them. They were awesome. I gave them as a gift. It was easy and fast. Thank you for the idea.

Very nice! I think you should try that with mica clays too, I bet it will be fantabulous once you resin it (or if you just sand and buff it)

These are really fantastic!! I love these. Beautiful. The wood effect is so realistic, looks just like old, weathered wood. I too really love the two colour piece but they're all gorgeous. Such a clever idea and technique. I haven't seen anything like this before and I've watched a lot of poly clay videos 🤗😊

Absolutely gorgeous. Beach cabin porch wood. I can almost smell the salt air. I want to get your hand drill, but I couldn't find it in your amazon link. Maybe I missed it, but of course I'd rather buy it through your link if I can. If you have a link handy and can post it, that would be great.

Love this technique. Really looks like wood. I am going to try it right away. But I think I like a matte finish better cuz it's more like old wood.
@katiegordon6104 жыл бұрын
If u wanna do matte go for it just need something to protect the paint or it will wear off over time. That's whats nice about being able to make our own decisions about art what one likes others dont to me when I resin its more of wood in resin like when people put flowers or wood in full resin cabachons again tho go w what u prefer art is art to be enjoyed and free let ur eye guide u my videos are for inspiration for sure not a step by step u have to do it exactly this way always feel free to put your own spin or take liberties
@Wendy-WackyWomanCreations4 жыл бұрын
@@katiegordon610 I have a matte finish. Baking a small one right now. I can always put something shiny over the matte if I change my mind. Yours are so beautiful but I don't use resin. Always appreciate your videos cuz you really do encourage freedom of expression!

Very nice, I prefer wood effect 😊 but I think without resin it will be better. Good job and very very nice, thanks 🤗. Sorry for my English I m French and I don't nt speak very well😕
@katiegordon6105 жыл бұрын
the resin protects the paint on it because it could come off in a pendant like this so mainly its just for strength and longevity

I really liked these. I've been using polymer clay since 2011 but I've never used resin to coat anything. I really would like to try it though. I'm going to see if I can find that first resurrection you showed. What type of lamp do you use and was it expensive?

I bough bails from all over and put them in a dollar store container
@itstammytime23844 жыл бұрын
How do you keep bubbles from getting in your clay mixing like that? I have to fold so carefully to not get bubbles but you just fold over and add pieces and make pockets but no bubbles! I must know your secret! Lol
@katiegordon6104 жыл бұрын
I always keep in mind pushing the air out of a fold opening you don't wanna trap air into a fold so always like w making a blend the folded part goes in the rollers first so all the air can be pushed out the two open ends
@itstammytime23844 жыл бұрын
Your clay comes out really long, are you using a thin setting on the machine? Maybe I'm just using too thick of a setting. I mix with the thickest setting

How long do you put resin in the UV light?
@katiegordon6104 жыл бұрын
Depends on the resin I'm using but generally I always follow the manufacturer's instructions
@jackiemccarty45995 жыл бұрын
If you were going to put a name on it after resin or before?
@katiegordon6105 жыл бұрын
Like on the front I would do it either an impression when the clay is raw or stamp after its baked with an ink pad. If it's like a signature on the back I do it when raw
