And yet, took me years to get myself to make this video, because the Italian lyrics of this movie are just so embarrassingly ridiculous that I never had the strength to go trough the entire process of translation and video-making. I swear, not blowing it out of proportions.

I see what you mean about the lyrics. They could have been so much better! Especially since Renato Zero makes a great Jack in my opinion, in terms of voice and acting. That's a shame.

"i testi in italiano di questo film sono così imbarazzantemente ridicoli" QUESTO. È. R. FANTASIA. FILM! Non puoi spiegare niente nelle fantasie! Toglie tutta la magia! 0:33 "Cieco fui" Beh, non hai i bulbi oculari. Anche se inizialmente lo avresti fatto, ma sarebbe stato TROPPO spaventoso per un film per bambini. 0:40 "Fugge via. Oh no, oh no." *sostituisce "oh no" con "Mamma Mia".* Eccoci. Suona meglio. 2:23 Wow, quello deve essere stato un boccone per Renato.

How ridiculous are the Italian lyrics exactly? I'm curious. Jack's Lament still puzzles me - like, why have him repeat the same chorus in it for example? Renato Zero has a great voice but the quality of the lyrics doesn't seem to compare.

Oh, to put it shortly: it's a big mass of more or less themed sentences picked out of a hat in random order and strung up together with a bunch of monosyllabic words like "we", "then", "no" and such to fill in the gaps (this latter is particularly true in Making Christmas, which takes the trophy for the worst adapted song in the worst adapted movie)

I need to know what the lyricist for this dub was on to make such horrible lyrics, especially the “Oh, no”. Like come on, you could’ve had any BETTER ideas than that when it comes to translating that part of the song

@@FlamSparks true XD Lyrics aside, I think Renato did an okay job on Jack’s character. He isn’t horrible, but there are way better voices for Jack that I can think of
