IDK look at where it originated from. Elvis the king of rock and roll wasn't exactly like what most people would consider today as 'rock'. Genres also overlap. It was a little confusing to me also but there's no definitive category for a lot of music- often bands will have a number of tags. Her voice and the screaming I guess is what makes this rock but obviously there is some heavy pop in there too!

She also said the reason she was waiting so long to put out an album was because labels wanted to change her sound. Low and behold she signed with YMCB-homos and sure enough this happened. The song is solid but I am just disappointed that PATT is history. I have played those songs on my phones/mp3 players for so long. I am ready for the good stuff and been waiting 10+ years to pay for the music that more than deserves it. I will admit that her new sound grew on me though. I will always love your work Alaina.
