I replaced my rear struts with Bilstein B6s recently, moved everything over from the other strut to the new one. After putting everything on, I realized there was never a bump stop. The other strut was weak enough that it allowed a lot of wheel hop, and with aging rubber, I think the bump stop disintegrated. Do I need to take my entire suspension apart again just to get a new bump stop in?

Did changing the yellow bump stops fix your knocking noise?

partly . There were a few other contributing parts . Rear sway bar bushings , and some loose parts in the roof from when it was removed to replace the fabric and rear window by the previous owner .

@@fupabox I've got a knock that sounds like it's coming from rear left. I'm replacing rear shocks and top mounts, bump stops and bellows. Hoping that will fix it. Thanks for the video. My drop links are seized to the wheel carrier, so have had to take the whole wheel carrier assembly out.

@@xlozxloz Ouch .. thats no fun . I try to blast anything I'm going to work on with penetrating oil for a few days prior to taking the part off. sometimes works sometimes MEH . Good luck with the rear shocks . Let me know if it helps

Too bad the light behind is so bright that one cannot really see what is happening. Video basically useless to SEE what is it all about.
