Pumps great brother. What some people do is just snug the pump so you can just barely move it. They spin the engine over 2 full rotations and that supposedly centers the pump.

You could run no turbo and a muffler or one turbo or two turbos. It doesnt matter,its temporary. Good progress!👍🇨🇦

Have you ever had issues with those coned Spectra air filters? I am in the process of Turbo'ing my tacoma and had some members on forums call out that filter and that the 'metal' button glued onto the interior of the small cone has been known to come unglued due to turbo heat and bouncing around risking damage to the compressor wheel and potentially going through..

I haven’t had an issue with it myself, but I have seen many posts on sloppy about it. I just usually don’t run filters anyway lol

Question... are 5.3 rockers and pushrods interchangeable with 6.0 lq4?

@@StationroadRatrods mint! i got a 5.3 sitting around and the LQ4 i got for free was missing some stuff. i priced them out new... would hurt my ass replacing all 16 lifters and pushrods with new ones

Absolutely 100% recommend modding the oil pump, makes a big difference. Don’t be afraid to try parts from different LS engines, it’s awesome how they used similar or the same parts across the whole line. In the rat rod engine I have parts from several different 4.8, 5.3 and 6 litre engines all in the same block and it works awesome

assembles the pump using a combo molasses and 2 part epoxy. "Hmm, it has a little resistance" 🤔

Not yet nope! Not a complete frame anyway, I have some more stuff on the go so I’ll be keeping an eye out for now. If I don’t find a complete frame i have two separate frames, one has a good front end, the other has a good rear end, I’ll splice them together
