Excellent vid Brian. I consider the "stop"/"stun" shot as " The Number 1 Shot in Pool"...must be able to execute the stun (sliding ball at contact) shot and understand the tangent (90 degree) line reactions to move on and increase position play level. I find this (executing the stop/stun/sliding cue ball shot) to be a big hurdle for some players. Must get it down and understand the results to move on. Thanks again.

Great lesson for auditory learners. Tough lesson for visual learners.

Thanks. Sometimes it's hard for me to determine whether I'm talking too much, compared to actually showing what to do. Some people like a lot of explanation, others dont. I think my newer videos are little better, meaning I try to not to overtalk.

good job Brian :-) Sometimes i am still amazed, that even some players who are playing for a long time not really knowing basic stuff like that. Good that ppl still spreading knowledge over and over again 🙂hit em hard mate^^

Brian, Received your latest book and it is fantastic. The dedication is beautiful. This past September I purchased Poolology and loved it. Well we have a new puppy and I left out and she shredded it. I want to order a new one but can’t find the spiral bound version. Can you help me out? Thank you.
@Poolology1012 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And I lowered the price of the spiral bound book to $15. But if you send your address to me at bc@pocketingballs.com, I will have the book sent to you at no cost. I really appreciate the feedback and compliments on my newest book. Thanks again!

Awesome video. Really helps me visualize the concept. Thank you. Should tangent line be 90 degrees from the shot line? It doesn't look like the lines are set at 90.
@Poolology1012 жыл бұрын
Thanks. And yes, 90°. I think the camera angle makes it look a little off. But I didn't measure a perfect 90°. I estimated it, which is what we have to do on the table while we're playing.

@@Poolology101 Thank you, for sure. I was just trying to make sure so when I apply it during my practice, etc. I love the idea of the tap and I am going to use that as well. Thanks again. Looking forward to your next video

Nice info to know. But I must have blinked and missed your first obstacle. I didn't see you hit the ball in the side pocket. You talked about having to hit the first corner pocket shot carefully if the cue ball is on the right side of the line, in order to line up the next shot. Where's the example?
@Poolology1012 жыл бұрын
I slightly overcut the shot, bt accident, which kept the cb from hitting the side pocket.
@billdesmond73896 ай бұрын
what happens with a side corner shot when the object ball is on 10 and aim point is 15. same question for zone
@Poolology1016 ай бұрын
It just puts the shot outside the parameters of the system. That doesn't mean it's not a perfectly good or easy cut shot. It just means the system doesn't work in those situations.

If you have an ebook reader or app, you should be able to download it from Amazon or Lulu. I think lulu has it for $9.99 here... www.lulu.com/shop/brian-crist/poolology-mastering-the-art-of-aiming/ebook/product-1mk2d74n.html?q=Poolology+&page=1&pageSize=4

That link is for the Poolology book, which is about aiming. My other book is more about the mental game and strategy. It's called "Playing to Win". Lulu has the best price for that book also. www.lulu.com/shop/brian-crist/playing-to-win/ebook/product-w6qkrz.html?page=1&pageSize=4

The ebooks should be available to most countries. Amazon and Lulu ship worldwide. Not sure about Barnes and Noble.

Brian you never explained the alignment value to make the shot 3/4 1/2 or 1/4. so your video is not help.
@Poolology1014 ай бұрын
I didn't realize I was supposed to explain that, sorry. Easy fix.... The ob looks to be on 30 in this setup. The alignment line (centerline from cb through ob) would need be pointing at 15 (1.5 diamonds from the pocket) and it would be a 1/2 ball shot. If the alignment line points to 7 or 8 (the 1st diamond being 10), then it would be a 3/4 ball shot. If the alignment were around 22 (a little more than 2 diamonds from the pocket) then it would be a 1/4 ball shot.

You talk way to much, to the point of boring. Show us by doing, not just talking!!!
@Poolology1012 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice/criticism. Some things require words/explanation, not just showing. I've found that there are too many questions asked when I don't fully explain what I'm trying to show. Sorry if it's too much talk for you. For others it's just the right amount. Can't please everyone.
