I let my budgies breed after 1 year of buying them from pet store but female budgie started biting the male budgie after their eggs hatched and stopped feeding chicks so unfortunately only 1 out of 7 survived, so now I'm hand feeding the baby chick, trying my best to give it a life💐💐

this has happened to almost all of us, being beginners It happened to me with a couple of lovebirds. The female squeezed the babies, and didn't feed them Then she also didn't let the male eat or drink I separated them and only 1 baby survived, when I realised The male got depression, stopped eating or drinking, but in spite of this, he took care of the baby till he died 😢 It is said that, we often learn from the hardest experiences 😢 Sad, so sad 😢 I do hope you can do it well with the baby Please, pay attention to temperature....no cold, but not too hot either You could watch videos about feeding baby budgies I wish you 2 ALL THE BEST❤❤❤❤

Gladly since i started till now about 3 years of breeding budgies 0 chicks died in the nest the only loss i had is a budgie dying at age 3 months in his own cage@cristinap.morais6878

Oh wow I didn't realize how hard it was for some people to breed budgies, mine straight up started when they settled in their cage and have had zero problems since then. I always make sure they have calcium block, (especially for the female) some millet, food and water, a nice calm environment. And went straight to work lol.

I will admit I've only had the females become aggressive with other females that fly too near the cage, but other than that they are actually really really calm and nice, even let me check on the eggs and make sure they are ok.

Ive had some troubles with breeding. Sometimes the male gets angry and cracks the eggs. So I have to repair them. But that happens after the chick dies. This time tho I saved one hopefully it hatches and survives ❤

Hi! I have two baby budgies and the mother keeps plucking their feathers and they keep screaming and wiggling around. One of them seems to have splayed legs as well. What can I do to help the babies? I’d really appreciate if you would help, thank you 😄
