It seems to me that the entire senior management of the Post Office were not actually doing anything for their salaries. They neither read anything, said anything, did anything, spoke to anyone, this guy has got it spot on they are either lying through their back teeth or are uselessly incompetent. Jail time beckons.

Whether he read it or not I’m sure he was fully aware what it was saying about Horizon. It’s difficult not to believe that they knew the truth about horizon and that they knew they were prosecuting innocent people and sending them to jail. The alternative would have to be some mass delusion, probably a bit of both was going on. Personally I’m not interested in revenge and punishment, although they fully deserve it, what I would like to happen is for the people at the post office to tell the truth so we can all understand what was really going on and why. That way the sub post masters would at least get some closure as well as getting adequately compensated.

The best bit is that they ALL awarded themselves massive bonuses,even though THEY have the monopoly.Nothing will get done,they wont have to pay back their salary or bonus,but the govt will STILL go after a guy who gets a few quid when he shouldnt.

There are bunches of liars who should be prosecuted for perverting the course of justice for pursuing malicious prosecution. They should also be pursued via civil limbs for damages caused to the Post Office for paying compensations to the sub postmasters.

The inquiry will not have any affect as its not going to go to court and no one from fujistu will get prosecuted. This whole thing is jist to pacify the public

If you're surprised at this level of ineptitude at the highest positions of authority, you'll be horrified to find that this is quite common. A lot of these guys get these positions because of who their family is, where they went to school, and who they know. They fail upwards regularly, and only seldom do they face any kind of consequence for their incompetence.

It beggars belief that these people were ever in senior - level positions in the first place , this guy has stated he's not lying but accepts that he's been incompetent . The police should be handling these cases after the inquiry is finished then maybe there can be some justice .
