By "men in understanding" do you mean men not overtly post mill -otherwise you are going to be misjudged by the your pastor and fellow congregants as someone who is controversial and toxic? Is there such a thing as "toxic Christianity" and how does one go about finding a post mill church without offending anyone?

@@noanapoleon474 Find a church where their primary allegiance is to what the Bible says, and even if they disagree with you they're going to be a blessing to work through the texts with.

@@CanonPress Well all Protestant Churches claim "allegiance to what the Bible says" and finding a church that openly teaches the Post mill position here in my state is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Yes I see, that is a go to verse and one that needs to be answered from the postmil position. Have you considered John 15:19? From that verse I would push back and say that John 18:36 doesn’t necessarily mean that the kingdom isn’t in this world, because the disciples were in this world and not of this world. The burden of proof would then be on me to prove that the kingdom positively is in this world, which I would do by citing some passages. Hope it makes you think ;)

@@CanonPress The believer to have grace be at the core of everything he does. Anywhere from giving to walking. It appears that the position that is taken here is strictly earthly centered. There is a future regardless of your eschatological bend. For you it seems that it is kingdom building now - to eventuate in a righteous state on earth. To get to that position one would certainly have to engage in some creative allegory. If we take Ezekiel 38-44 - the kingdom would certainly be future - just one a several examples. The issue here is failing to keep a distinction between Israel and the church. In the present context - I personally have 5 kids - 4 boys and 1 girl. All but 1 are grown and fantastic citizen/patriots of our great land. They all have relationships with our Savior. From day I taught them the gospel along with the imminence of Christ. The truth that Jesus Christ could come for the church at any moment has significant implications with regard to life. We work and we live in such a way to honor our great God and Savior. When it is all said and done He is the judge. We must exercise caution in having a man-centered earth-centered framework of the future. I do appreciate the tutorial and the engagement.

You're not alone. Your pastor, sadly, is one of those termed "Hollow Men", (by CS Lewis I believe) who may know 'victory in Jesus' in a theological and theoretical sense, but not much in practical day to day 'risk taking for the Kingdom'. Now when I consider how terribly common it is for us laymen to have such pastors, I am reminded of the Principle that MAY be a rebuke to us laymen: 'When the people lead, the leaders will follow.' Maybe it's not just the leaders job to show bold, courageous leadership, but ours as well. And in so doing we embolden them more than otherwise possible. Pray and research the topic. God gives answers to those who sincerely seek. I lean towards Amillennialism but an optimist one bcoz Isaiah says "of the increase of His government, there shall be no end" but it was after a lot of research. I think many prophecies of Revelation and new testament refers to inauguration of the church even in times of severe persecution and culminates with the destruction of the temple and with it the old testament way of life.

Stephen Hackett I believe Satan was bound 2000 years ago.... Rev 20: 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. The two main points I take away from this is that Satan is bound and that he will no longer deceive the nations. Satan bound.... @@evanu6579 Wow. Hallelujah. I think you are getting. This is how my mindset unfolded too when I started researching. As you continue reading the scriptures certain things will now beginning to have a new meaning. For instance Isaiah 63 especially 1 to 6. When I was premillennial, I was taught that that is Jesus' return destroying his enemies but one day I was reading it and I got a KZfaq recommendation, Christus Victor: A gospel poem and it clicked to me that Isaiah 63 was about the cross. Most importantly we see that Christ's work 2000 years ago is more victorious than we think and like Isaiah 9:7 of the increase of His government there shall be no end and Daniel 2:34-35, 44. Jesus is truly King even now and His Kingdom will win even before He returns.

And we must press on in love not vengeance against people who are lost. Our sacrifices of love just like Christ's sacrifice on the cross will conquer the world.

The case for post-mill is much stronger than it is for the other positions in my opinion. But since I don’t with absolute certainty, the pragmatic reasons give me more reason to be post-mill. If I am proven wrong then I humbly admit that I was wrong but no, this video is not dangerous.

Nick, You might be taking yourself way to serious. The Invisible Church is iron clad on the essentials, on the non essentials there has always been a call for charity. If he is right and I am wrong with my Premillennial views, I love my brother and all is well. What is dangerous is a false gospel. Since there is such a wide range in eschatology, I think it best to use the word danger where it is warranted. Have a blessed Lord's day 🙏
