The door lock relays are for crew cabs (4 doors). 2 door trucks don't use relays for the door locks. Your videos came in very useful for me. Thank you.

So I just completed this on a 2005 Silverado WT 2500HD i recently bought added all the power components, wiring harnesses then a BCM everything is working like it should windows, locks, power mirrors and keyless entry! this is an awesome video!!!! I used a BCM from a 2005 tahoe works fine just getting a message "replace lifegate fuse" going to see if i can turn that off with HPtuners if not probably get a truck BCM thanks for posting this I loved the truck but was really missing the keyless and power windows. I installed everything and tried it with out swapping the BCM everything was working but the locks and windows was working with no key in the truck after the 30 minute BCM programing everything worked correctly!!! very happy thanks again!

I so wish you were my neighbor. I just bought a Kia and no power windows or door locks and I have to say, I am used to having those and they are super nice to have. You've figured a way how to fix these vehicles and add the "bells and whistles" to them. I wondered if all 2013 Kia Rio's have the same body control modules but the factory just leaves off the wiring harness for the electric doors and locks. You're making me wonder and ponder over here.

i was debating on just replacing my doors completely. I have an 2006 wt 1500 extended cab im going to replace all four dours i want power front . So i will need to take the controll modual from the doner truck along with the doors . Do i still have to add the orange constsnt power to both doors or will it work when i replace the modual without the orange wires

I’m currently doing this got a wreck single cab Silverado with power windows and locks. Everything is installed but the driver side don’t go down or lock a work but passenger side works. change bcm and all the harness and the whole dash harness of the donor security light comes on but at times

It has power windows and locks.Im wondering if the electrical connectors are the same as my 03 silverado. Also I believe I need the same number used bcm for the 03 correct? So if you swap in a power window and lock BCM to make the locks work, would you even need to mess with wiring the orange wires to an external source? In my mind. At that point it should literally be a plug and play setup. Just curious it really could be that simple in the end. Im currently sourcing parts and have been told 99-02 switches and harness are the only way to go. But you obviously figured it out with 03-06. Any advise would be appreciated. Great video bud!

Replaced my bcm with power window power lock bcm and did the wiring thick orange to battery thin orange to switched 12v and brown wire to green data wire my power locks do not work with the key off but do work with the key on

Hey man I done this swap with power windows swapped bcm got the truck running and everything works good except for my drivers side power lock as soon as as you hit the lock button it locks and kicks itself back to the unlock position on its own passenger side doesn’t do it it works fine would you happen to have any idea or run into that by chance?

I was also able to program a aftermarket key fob from boost auto parts the 2014-2018 style fob. Anyway the only issue I have is the service air bag light comes on and stays on I always have to reset the message display so I can see my mileage. What might cause this to happen and how can I get the air bag system to work normal?

Thanks for sharing! The BCM is one of the most frustrating things they have ever done. I had trouble with my door locks and found that the aftermarket remote start and alarm system my son had someone put in had gone bad and was running the battery down and causing false alarms always. I took out the aftermarket stuff and then found that the BCM was either effected by the remote start or it had gone bad by itself. I bought a new BCM and then had to have a local shop program it and things have never been right since. The under dash and courtesy lights in the doors and the dome light don't work. I refuse to go back and pay for more programing when that should be something the owner should be able to do!

I’ve been trying this swap with no luck I have a donor truck and I verified everything worked before I removed them. Everting works on the passenger side including the key fob from the donor but it seems the DDM on the base truck won’t turn on I probed the B12 wire on the BCM and it gets a pulsating signal so I went back to the base BCM just to see if I could get windows only but same issue just the pass window works and same signal from the b12 wire. Do you think this is a ground issue somewhere else they all seem intact. Light green b12 is hooked up as you showed to the dark brown at the door. Awesome info Btw good job.

So do the power door locks work (not the keyless entry) with the base model BCM after you do the wiring for the power windows? Or do you need to replace the BCM for the power door locks to work? I already have viper keyless entry installed. Don't care for the oem keyless entry, but I'd much rather the factory door switches oppose to the after market ones i have retrofit in. thanks in advance

I am currently doing the same thing to my 2006 Silverado base model all it has is manual windows and lights no power locks. I bought the harness from a salvage yard . When I tried connecting the harness to the fuse box the connections pins was different . Would I have to get the fuse box and and the BCM . And my door panel is different . I would also need new door panels . Can any one help ?

I cheated mine and instead of tapping into the thick red wire I tapped into the fuse box on the side where it has power. Only thing is idk how to get the locks to work when truck is off.
