Tip - don't pay the mind any mind...ignore any thoughts of past, future, or imagination/daydreaming. Instead, stay with the feeling/experiencing of the moment. Tactilely. Be 100% devoted to the moment...what is felt, seen, heard, smelt, and tasted. Just like how someone can be so in their head and in thought that they can bump into a lamp pole because they simply were not aware and did not see it...go to the other side of the spectrum. So with the here and now that there is no room for thought. In the absence of thought, there is only the present.

At the health club, I often sit in the sauna for 30 minutes. Every single person in there is pecking away on his smartphone. They simply cannot even relax in the sauna. People have to be on their phones doing who knows what! I love sitting in the sauna just relaxing! Not many do!

When you leave the egoic activity of the mind (always categorizing, judging, importance-determining), you no longer need to know "why". Why is this person driving 3 mph below the speed limit? (They just are. Relax and back off.) Why does he say those hurtful things to me? (He just does. He's probably hurting. It isn't about me, but rather his own state of consciousness. ) Why do these people act a fool? (They just do. Ignore. Move on.) The WHY stops having any interest, because everything simply IS. Life IS. Whatever is arising is here for us (not against us). There is so much peace, tranquility and ease when One realizes there is nothing to "do" but simply BE with the flow of life. Oh, and the gravy??? Life begins to meet you in your easeful state and bring even more ease. Ask me how the traffic always opens for me, or parking spaces open up as I arrive, or so many synchronicities manifest. It's all very simple. Be. 🙏

I have been advancing on my journey and have made significant progress this summer. I have reached a state of deep inner peace and surrender. Yesterday I was at work and my mom called me to tell me my bathroom flooded and that my room was flooding too. I didn’t get mad, annoyed, sad, anything. I know this non-reaction was confirmation that I have grown.

I am the ultimate alchemist. I know that my thoughts create my reality. I use my mind for my highest good. I use my mind to discern who should be allowed in my reality.

Eck is so right. Today my cat struck a majestic pose in a tree in my back yard. Instead of appreciating the moment I ran inside to get my camera. Of course when I got back she was long gone from the tree

"Rise above thinking" This statement fixed my way of thinking about reaching the awareness. I was always looking to avoid thinking by sinking below it. As soon as he said that I immediately understood something. I probably don't make any sense and I cannot explain it but I found understanding in those words. Thank you for that.

As an amateur carpenter, I’ve realized it is very, very important to stay in the present to avoid horrible or even merely measurable mistakes. Focus on the moment and the actions you are engaged in. Keep all your fingers.

One of the funniest videos I've seen of him. This just shows you humor is joy, a result of his presence. I love it. 😊

What works for me is I find an anchor point to the present moment. For example today it's the touch of my back against the chair. The feeling of touch. I mean you're sitting in the chair and the chair is in the present moment right? Find your anchor points to the present moment and keep on coming back to them when you find your mind is drifting to the past or the future.

I love Eckhart’s self deprecating, dry humour! He is better than any comedian I know but also so wise, soothing and peaceful - thank you 🙏 a perfect way to start a day.

I feel like Eckhart could have had a career as a comedian? He's so naturally funny. A profound message, but with these bursts of humour.

As someone who has developed really low self-esteem, Eckhart's teachings are the only thing that have been able to help me escape my mind and become grounded in the present. It's like your senses become heightened as you release all thoughts and negative projections from the outside world and focus on the awareness within. You experience the sounds, tastes, smells, and the richness of life and the magnificence of existence. To exist and not feel as though you have to be or achieve anything is truly a gift. You are already good enough without having to be good enough to the outside world. To be of the world but not in it to me is to take life for what it is and have gratitude for what you do have and to accept that which you do not have. Then you can find peace in the present, otherwise there will always be something to chase. It's like being a child again when you are off in your own world and you don't know loneliness because you don't know there are other children besides you and you are content and happy and no one has put the pressure of being anything on you yet. That you are good enough as you are just by breathing.
