In this video I go into how I use Vanna in a practical way to trading options and futures. I have talked about what Vanna means at individual strikes in the past but in this video I discuss how we can use it to take trades.

Thank you for your videos. Im just wondering, are you making the assumption that dealers are long puts and short calls? because if the dealer is short calls, the negative vanna will cause the dealer to buy shares as vol comes down, however it will cause the dealer to short shares if the dealer is long calls. just a bit confused about this and your help will be appreciated. thank you.

They do but it looks like it only includes options bought or sold closer to the bid/ask. I use Volland for Dealer data and Trady for flow/DP/unique data driven insights. Volland includes every contract that hits the options chain and does a complex, proprietary calculation when it’s not easy to tell if the contact was bought or sold so it’s accuracy is very unique when compared to many other services. Also, they have a 0DTE alert service that analyzes 0DTE from a Dealer perspective which is very useful for intraday trading.
