More work on the front aluminium, a little Meccano and a garage phone.

My actual role is Test Automation Manager. I look after the test engineers and test engineering practice where I am. Not that high up really. No idea where I would go to from here either! Wish I could retire :)

Another public holiday? You guys must have 3 or 4 of those a month! The panel is looking good from here... I'd say you're probably past the original builders standards already.

All up I think it's 12 days a year including one regional holiday. No more now till 28 October. One reason they introduced the last one (Matariki) was to make the 'no holidays in winter' gap shorter! I really want to avoid the just build/restored look on the car. It's needs to look like it really could be from the 1930s, maybe with a few older restorations. I've said before I am too lazy to keep a car looking perfect! Plus aluminium skin means it will get dings in it I think.

@@shedbythetracks Being able to work from home means more time to get things done. On home days can start at 7am and finish at 4pm and be straight out to the shed. On my town days I have to get up at 6am then get home about 6:30pm. So no time to do anything once I have had dinner but relax! Especially in winter when it's already dark and cold in the shed by that time.

I watch Puddin's fab shop "or mabie it was Carter auto restyling"... One of them usea disc shrinker. Never heard of such a thing, A stainless steel disc run by an angle grinder & you use a sharpie to highlight the highspots & the friction from the disc heats & cools causing shrinkage? Just FYI but You probably know all about it & doing quite well without one I might add... ✌👍

I've never tried one myself. It's one of those things that seem to cost 4x what they cost in the US. It's cheaper to order internationally off Amazon than buy locally. Definitely seen Kyle use one on steel. But I haven't seen anyone use one on aluminium?
