Premalu (transl. Love Stories) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film directed by Girish A. D. and produced by Bhavana Studios, in the company of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Working Class Hero. The film stars Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan and Althaf Salim. It follows Sachin, a graduate from Kerala, who plans on moving to the United Kingdom but fails and instead goes to Hyderabad, to take a GATE course, where he meets Reenu who he falls in love with.

We pronounce it as "pray ma lu" Like premam means love in malayalam Premalu means love in telugu i think...because the movie is happening in hyderabad. Also the songs during hyderbad portions gives a diff feel...like hyderabad vibes and not the usual mallu songs here Even the title gives away telegu vibes

@@ajithknair5Naah, I think the “lu” was added because of the common misconception that telugu can be spoken by adding “lu” at the end of malayalam words.

Hi Guys . In this movie there are many references & trolls of many other Malayalam movies and on some recent social media personalities in Kerala . Not sure you guys will be able to catch those which will somehow effect enjoying the movie 100%. For example , when he said he knows she is single because her eyes say it, they are trolling the famous Malayalam romantic movie Hridayam . Also in the pub ,it is not his inside voice . It's actually from a reel posted by a lady who abuses people on social media . it's a real voice .There are many such references and trolls.

Off topic --> GATE is not harder than JEE, JEE is much much much harder than GATE, JEE Advanced is ranked as 2nd hardest exam in the world whereas GATE isn't even in top 10, even JAM (MSc from IITs) is harder than GATE (and I am not talking about Indian ranking but world rankings). I have seen people get top 100 ranks in GATE in 3 months without coaching. I am from IIT Bombay and my brother is from NIT-K a mid ranked NIT, he destroyed GATE with just books in 2 months but could not make it into 35000 rank in JEE Adv. On Topic --> I am probably overrating this but premalu is by far one of the best movies I have seen in a long long time.
