Premalu (transl. Love Stories) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film directed by Girish A. D. and produced by Bhavana Studios, in the company of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Working Class Hero. The film stars Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan and Althaf Salim. It follows Sachin, a graduate from Kerala, who plans on moving to the United Kingdom but fails and instead goes to Hyderabad, to take a GATE course, where he meets Reenu who he falls in love with.

Nasleen's first movie is 'Thanneer Mathan Dinangal' (2019) directed by the same director, Girish AD. Its a highly recommended romcom with Mathew and Vineeth Srinivasan in lead roles.

Naslen’s style of Malayalam is from the Thrissur region and for all his phenomenal comic timing, sadly, Naslen speaks Malayalam only in that way. So in the long run that could work against him. But he’s an absolutely adorable actor. You might have seen him in HOME and Jo v/s Jo (if you haven’t watched the latter, you should. Again, full timepass movie)

He is from kodungalloor, so its more similar to Aluva-Paravur slang not Thrissur slang exactly

Thrissur but this is the slang of Malayalam spoken in the part where Thrissur and Ernakulam join. Around the region, Kodungallur also known as Musiris. 🖐 mine as well😅

The most important thing is that they made this romantic film without a hero-heroine duet / dance song. No hero /heroine intro song unlike other film industries in India.

Teacher guy , is Althaf , Director of one of the most underrated, repeat value film which is one of a kind genre too , "Njandukalude nattil oru idavela" , starring Nivin Pauly. Very good film. And his next film is with FaFa .

Premalu 2 is releasing next year. Another movie of the director and Nasleen combo will release this year. But that movie was actually shot before premalu and being shelved for some reason.
