Yes! I agree, I had my son in April and would start to dread the night because of the lack of sleep. I watched Brooklyn 99, it was hilarious and really did help my mood. Good to luck to everyone getting ready to deliver! It is an awesome time and luckily my son started sleeping longer stretches around 10 weeks. My husband would care for him every night from around 7pm-11pm so I could get a solid 4 hours of sleep before the night started and this really helped me survive those first 10 weeks.

I am due to have my first baby in the spring and I feel reassured that I will know how to do it and encouraged to ask questions and get help where I don't. Thank you :) (love from Hamburg Germany)

18:30 When you are talking about the community of parents and how judgmental some can be... I just want to applaud your Facebook group for being the most welcoming, non-judgmental group of parents I've come across. I'm not afraid to ask embarrassing questions, or if there are iffy questions, everyone usually handles it like a champ or if they can't contribute, they offer support. It makes me have faith that there are really welcoming and loving people still left in this world!

I am so glad you shared about having your baby having trouble latching when you are engorged. Pumping is such a lifesaver! I didn’t know this when my milk came in and I couldn’t figure out why baby wasn't latching… Long story short baby ended up having to go to the NICU . This could’ve all been avoided if I would’ve just known about pumping. Thank you so much for sharing! :-)

I ended up buying adult diapers because the pad in them is so big. The depends silhouette ones were so comfortable and you couldn’t tell that I was in a diaper 💁🏻‍♀️ And the FridaMom bottle was amazing! I had a second degree tear and it was so easy to use that bottle instead of the one given to me at the hospital.

Hey Jess! I love your videos and your personality, I don't have kids and am not trying to have them lol but you're just so warm and friendly :) I wanted to leave a note on the thing you said about the thing you could put in the car seat, I'm not sure if it's the same thing you were talking about, but I watched Nurse Zabe's video on things your labor nurse does not want you to have. She said any of those extra things you can buy for car seats may not be safe, because car seats are crash tested the way that they are, and the way the baby sits in them with nothing else in them, so those additional things may make it dangerous for the baby. Just wanted to let you know! But I love your videos!

I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant of my first. And with the current corona cases rising, I'm absolutely terrified of being alone for most of the labour. Only 1 birthing partner is allowed. For the moment my hospital does allow them to be there. But at the start of the pandemic they were only allowed at the very last bit of labour (if even!) and had to get out of the hospital shortly after. Yet, people can go to pubs and play sports! Woman are now starting to stand up for our rights and demanding change, hopefully. But with all the cases rising, I hope they don't go back to those awful rules.

I am a few weeks behind you in our pregnancy journey and I'll be delivering in a foreign country surrounded by foreign language and I am seriously scared if they go back to the stricter rules and my husband can't be there to help me navigate the language barrier and culture differences! We have also had to change our hospital choice as the local hospital have horrible people and they treated me so bad at our first visit and we are now going to be giving birth two hours away from my in-law's house and 3 and a half hours away from our home. It's a crazy time and I hope it all calmes down for all us mums. Good luck for the rest of your journey 🌺
@CyborgSlayerNila

@@vicky-leemcseveney1452 it's the same for me. I'm 24 weeks and living in Sweden, though I know most of the language but I feel like when I'm in the midst of all the pain there will be a lot in translation. I was worried about the pandemic thing but after talking to a lot of local moms I found that having my partner is going to be there but only one. Which I'm relieved about, less people less virus exposure which I've been pretty worried about.

@@CyborgSlayerNila congratulations on your baby! May the next weeks sail by and I hope your delivery goes well! I'll be giving birth in Italy and they are very old school here in my town, another reason why I prefer the big city hospital. And because covid hit Italy so badly I'm hoping they won't go back to their rules during the height of the outbreak because then sadly husbands aren't allowed at all😔. Good luck and I pray all goes well for you🌸

I'm also just about 22 weeks myself and the rise of this pandemic is certainly arising some anxiety within me about all that's to come. Not only my state, but my COUNTY has record high numbers even across the nation and I do not understand. I basically have been cooped up for months, well almost the entire year at this point because I also have a heart condition and then finding out we were pregnant was just the icing on the cake. Granted, I am incredibly excited to meet this baby BOY of ours, but it's not going to be easy for any of us. We will get through it though.

Actually those newborn car seat inserts are NOT recommended. I’m a NICU nurse and we had to do car seat tolerance tests all the time and the only thing allowed in the car seat is what comes with it. Don’t add anything else in addition. It voids the warranty and can put baby at risk. If you have specific questions about inserts you could always call the car seat manufacturer as well! ❤️
@jess_hover

@@jess_hover sorry for being slow to respond, I just saw this! If the insert came with your car seat then its good to go! But those aftermarket inserts that they sell at like walmart/target are a negative. Anything that comes with your purchased car seat has been crash tested and approved. :)
