+Michael Marple - Don't you dare start using their words! There is no such thing as "version of the truth", it always was a euphemism for lying. So sick of "my truth" and "my reality". The word is" perspective" or "belief" or as my uncle always said, "by my understanding". If we don't believe there is a single Truth then there is no point in anyone talking, for us forming language in the first place. Nobody can lie to you, they only lie to themselves. We hear true things all the time that we discard and sometimes we believe lies because we choose to. Half the time we tell each other stuff that we don't know to be true. Misleading people is a bit different; it refers to people who are endowed with a responsibility and misuse it to harm others or enrich themselves or both. We are responsible for being mislead when there was obviously questionable information given and we didn't ask.

I'm still not sure what is meant to be offensive about someone who believes in social justice. Obviously calling someone who engages in a discussion on the side of basic human rights isn't a warrior, so perhaps it's meant to be a satirical exaggeration, but getting compared with people who actually do go out there and fight misogyny, racism, ablism and other social injustices just doesn't seem offensive.

I really love this show, but something really felt off in this episode. I didn't find humor in your not-so-subtle sarcastic remarks. Every joke in this show is so true that it hurts. A satire news parody that makes fun of politics and media now only reminds me of how fucked up the world is right now. I think we might be in the bad timeline.

The court jester was allowed to tell the truth when all others didn't for fear of reprisal. The Comedy Channel and John Oliver now at HBO have long been the only video media to cover issues in depth that reaches more than a tiny slice of people (sorry NPR News Hour). Acquaintance sent me a link to a news video on ABC (or one of them) and their whole video list of news was 3 topics repeated 5 times each under different headlines. They may talk snarky when speaking of the latest Trump fiasco, but they don't ever take the issues on by finding out which corporations are behind it. They just show the clowns of Congress and White House but not who's behind the curtain pulling the levers. So we repeat their myth that it's all government's fault rather than those who have bought significant chunks of it.

Rickest Rick I don't think you know what a "direct rip-off" is. For starters, HBomberguy's videos aren't presented in a news show format. These are real things that are happening and they're both more than welcome to mock reality for the same reason. The more likely answer is that Cracked and him both started working on the "soy-boy" story on the same day, but Cracked also covered several other events in this episode because this is a weekly show that airs every Saturday.

Cracked fire all of its writers at the end of 2017, so if you are looking for more content like this check out the "Small Beans" channel. That's where a bunch of the writers moved to. (although they have no budget now)

I never really enjoyed Some News but I thought Cody was a great talent on the site and have enjoyed watching him over the years. With him and Dan O'Brian gone, I'm not sure there's any reason for me to watch Cracked anymore.

GO TO THE Small Beans CHANNEL ON KZfaq TO SUPPORT SWAIM AND ABE AFTER THE FALLOUT! Shame on you Cracked. I hope the last voice to grace this channel is DOB's. The fans weren't here for the logo, we were here for the personalities and the comedy. Alex and Jason are all well and good, but they were small parts of a largely wonderful team of hugely talented writers, directors, producers, etc. that we'd grown to love, some of us throughout more than a decade of fandom. I'm unsubscribing. I won't be back. My views and my support will be going to Abe and Michael's new ventures and anything else I see come from those briliant folks you so foolishly fired and pushed out. Anyone else interested in supporting them should go check out the Small Beans channel where they're currently producing a number of their own podcasts. This is a sad time for comedy. Jack is disappointed.
