Especially since Steven is older and has seen them together before. Taylor only knows the stories of Conrad second hand and Belly is a bit of an unreliable narrator because she keeps inadvertently misinterpreting Conrad's behaviour a lot. Taylor might be unfairly biased towards Conrad due to Belly's storytelling. Steven is an outside perspective who has seen everything and knows how to read the room and the vibe. Taylor on the other hand is a teenage girl and is seeing the lustful (?) side of Jeremiah, but Belly and Conrad goes so much deeper. I also absolutely adore Steven and Conrads friendship. I want to see a scene in S3 where Steven calls Connie to make sure he's okay after Belly rolls up with Jeremiah at Volleyball camp.

@@hej.anneli That is very true!! It’s like you say, Taylor is biased since Belly got her heart smashed into pieces (since she misunderstood Conrad due to her own insecurities about his feelings for her) and saw Jer picking Belly up from that state. Of course she roots for Jer right now.

@@myran788 I am a die hard Bonrad fan but I still argue that choosing Jeremiah at the end of season 2 is the 'healthiest' thing for Belly to do because he offers stability and security that Conrad cannot provide yet. All of three of them are suffering and floating in grief. Trying to hold onto something 'solid' seems to be the way for Belly and Jere to heal themselves and each other for now, but I'd also argue that because emotions are running high, there is a mixup between friendship and love. We've seen how terrified Belly was that Jere left and that she would do everything not to lose him again - but most scenes of holding hands and spending time also read very friend-ish to me. In Taylors place, I'd be cautious of Conrad to, but Belly tends to misinterpret and misreprent situations because she infers things but that's being a teenager. AND they all need TIME ! It's been such a short time since Susanahs death and no one has had a minute to deal with their emotions. Conrad stepping back and making his (healing in California) and Belly's (& Jere's) happiness his priority is a good thing. But the misunderstandings and miscommunication between Belly and Conrad kills me (Junior Mint flashback, prom, mental health). I'm looking forward to them finally speaking honestly and openly but they need to figure themselves out first.
