His name is Gordy. And he doesn't actually clean the school that well. He normally helps or hangs out with Ned, Cookie, and Moze when they have problems.

I remember a few teachers I had used a second white board in the back of the class with a more summarized version of what was being taught that day to help kids who had to sit in the back. I'm not sure how effective it was, but it seemed like a good idea.

Yeah, I’ve actually worked with janitors like that. They’re really cool to hang with, but as far as their job duties are severely lacking.

As someone on the Autism Spectrum, I always sat in the front of class or the bus so I wouldn’t be bothered by bullies (stayed close to the teacher or bus driver). As for lunch, I would always try to find an empty or almost empty table because whenever I sat at a table with people I would always be chased away, bullied or told “the seat was taken”

I usually sat in the same spot. Not because I wanted to avoid bullies but because I wouldn't say I liked changing routines. Very stubborn. You push me, and I push back. I back off and try not to make trouble. You learned to deal with bullies early on. Eventually, one of the girls apologized to me. Just be honest and be yourself.

Daran Norris who played Gordy was explaining that Gordy had a background that makes subtle appearances through out the show. He is a trust fund baby, who has a rich background but in order to get his inheritance he has to get a real job and be a part of normal society to prove dedication. Hence the tux, why he doesn't take his job seriously, and as you see through out the show there are other things that subtly reveal it to without outright saying it

Even in classes where we did not have assigned seats every one just sat in the same spot anyways. I always preferred the second row of seats. And in 2004 the Red Sox actually won the World Series.

Cookie's "butt bouncer" reminded me of a troublemaking junior high student who lived on my block. On the rides home he would repeatedly stand up while the bus was moving and shout "Bus surfing! Bus surfing!" then sit down like nothing happened. On the opposite end, I routinely sat up front in class and always asked the teacher the most questions

At the 3:23 mark where you talk about outdated desks; It reminds me when I was a hs senior in my economics class. It was the spring in 2021 when the remote/hybrid kids started coming back and needed extra desks. The only extra desks available were the old school/worn out ones from the 70's and one desk literally had “led zeppelin” carved into the desk! that's how you know your desk is getting too old am I right😅

One of the theories is that he's incredbly rich from some kind of inheritance but there was a stipulation on the funds that he can't use it without having a job, so he pays the school to keep him on, which lets him access his money.

12:23 I think it should also be noted that the can’t actually make the school bus’s impact with the pothole go “off the Richter scale” like that. To do that, they’d have to create seismic activity so powerful, it could potentially destroy countless surrounding cities. The strongest earthquake I have ever head of was a 9.5 on the Richter scale, and it happened in Chile back in the 1960s. You can tell just from looking at pictures of the aftermath how devastating it was.

If we did had the option, which I usually did, I sat in the front. I have trouble hearing out of my right ear, so I sat closer to the teacher to hear (kinda a moot point, which the teacher walks around); in the past, the teachers took a while to realize I had trouble hearing because I was sitting next to the HEATER.

When I was in middle school, most people just sat with their friends, at lunch. There wasn't a "cool" table. The closest would probably be where the B-ball team sat, but they weren't mean about it. I even sat there a few times, and aside from being a bit cramped, they were all very friendly. There was the bully table, but no one wanted to sit near them. Most days, half the table was empty

Busses tend to bounce more if u sit far back and when the tire of the bus hits a hole on the road. And kids love being bounced even tho it could be dangerous and its why we have seatbelts. But some kids can be stubborn and takes off their belt then wait for a bounce will happen.

Funny thing about sitting by the window in the sunlight. I used to work security at a retail store, and I would spend most of the day standing by the main entrance which was a glass sliding door with huge windows. This was in the summer and sun would be glaring through those windows all day. It got to the point where one side of my body was more tan than the other because it was facing the window all day 😂

Those slide in desks are awful! I'm left handed & our school had nothing for lefties. Except those stupid little metal scissors that never work. So I use righties upside down & they bruise my thumb. & the kids on my bus use to do that at potholes. I don't remember anyone getting in trouble. But it's a pretty small town & that was Late 90s early 2000s.

when it comes with seating mostly sitting at the back is for less attention from the teacher sometimes, so u can talk with ur friends abit, closest to the door when class ends most my classrooms the tables at the back where right by the door. As for lunch tables cant say we ever had cool tables at are school, i never liked alot of school foods so i always made my own and sat outside with my friends, was always alot more enjoyable to sit on the field with my friends and watch the boys play so sports while we ate. as for bullying you will find girls can be far worse then guys and can often be really violent. I can Thankfully say i was one of the lucky ones that never had to experience bullying from classmates for me it came from some teachers instead. Are High school also had 4 sick teachers that where sacked for disgusting reasons beginning with P i will say no more. I recall in my junior school someone set fire to it and we had to miss 5 months of school for the repairs, people just don't understand the major consequence of there actions the act on selfish impulses and we all suffer for it. I apologize for the Essay it was meant to be a much smaller comment sorry and apologies for the Grammar yikes, Thanks again for another amazing reaction video.
