The PrintNC build is under way! In this video I show some of the drilling steps as well as the machine base assembled. I also had some parts show up half way through filming so I wanted to get some footage of that as well.
Below are some of the parts and tools I used during the build and are also Amazon Affiliate links to help out the channel:

I've been participating in the PrintNC Discord since January, but this video has been really helpful in getting a sense of the size of the machine components, and a good sense of some of the build process. Great stuff!

I was kind of cringing at the beginning when you were using the center punch through the jig since I knew the tip of the punch was tapered and wouldn't automatically center in the hole. In my head I was thinking, I sure wish you were using a transfer punch. Glad to see you changed over to that later.

Thank you so much for sharing this short video. The finishing of your steel tubes looks awesome. What did you use for blacking of the steel tubes?

Nice video! The ball screw nuy plates might be a bit too tight, there needs to be some play allow the nut center properly.

Did you drill and tap the welded side of the tubes? I'm wondering if it would be better to use the side with out the seam in general. Your prints came out incredible. Did you have to work in any tolerances for them (especially with painted tubes)?

Hi Brian. We tried to find steel profiles 50x70, 50x75, 50x80... but nothing found in my country... Me and my father thinking about two variants: buy 50x50 and 25x50 and combine them (sounds too hacky) or use 50x100 (this size is available in our country). Can you advice me something in such case? What we should choose?

@@ProjectsbyBrian awesome. I might go this route instead of bulk 3d. I heard they aren't even replying to customers after ppl made payment. This looks better. Please continue to make the videos. I'd love to watch them. It'll help me out a lot.

Well done man, may I ask you a question? What did you do for flatness and/or tramming yor cnc? Did you surface mill your steel tubes or doing something else? Sorry for poor english.

Thanks. Nope, no flattening. There are a couple of guys that have done something like that, but I'm not sure if it'd worth the time and effort.

@@ProjectsbyBrian Mate thanks a lot for your response. Just for my general understanding, you need to order the kit and than steel balks and put it all together. I'm really starting to think that this is the best way to go right now. What i see from online videos it's really rock solid machine. Do you have any idea how accurate tolerance wise it is?
