Pro Climber VS. Handstand Push-up || Magnus Midtbø tries Calisthenics
Can we teach Magnus Midtbø, one of the worlds strongest climbers to handstand push-up?
Can we also make the greatest handstand push-up tutorial at the same time?
I think we can 😁
This video will not only try to make a handstand push-up program for Magnus Midtbø, but also make a handstand push-up program for you 💪
You can also follow the handstand push-up program in my calisthenics and handstand app, the movement trybe:
www.bergmovement.com/movement...
table of contents for learning the handstand push-up:
00:00 Introducing Magnus Midtbø
03:30 The technical road to handstand push-up
07:54 Strength road 1 with exercises towards the handstand push-up
11:33 strength road 2 with progressions for the handstand push-ups
15:00 example calisthenics warm-up
15:40 wrist strengthening routine

Handstand push-up program, workouts, 1000+ exercises for handstand & bodyweight strength is also in my App: www.bergmovement.com/movement-trybe-app I want this to be accessible to as many as possible, so please remember that if you are in a less fortunate economic situation, you can apply for discounts (25-75%) or a scholarship. Applications are found on the same link :)

Hi, this might not be the best place to say it, but my wife and I really enjoyed being "introduced" to you by watching Magnus' climbing video. We appreciated your relaxed attitude and how much fun you guys had together just "trying stuff". I wish more people related to sports that way without all the "win/doom" attitude. Winning is definitely fun (and is important professionally), but I can see that both of you are challenging yourselves more than each other. I'm glad you made the time for that. Also: what you do is amazing. You know those "People are amazing videos"? Yeah, you are amazing. Peace!

Big props for giving nice, gradual progressions! So many tutorials or programs just start their beginner levels with full push ups or maybe knee push ups when the reality is that many people can't do even one knee push up with proper form when they're just starting training, never mind training them for reps. I'll incorporate your technique drills for sure, been training wall handstands for a while now and my shoulders are getting more stable, I think it's a good time to bring in some more variety!

Thanks for the info! I started working out again and really enjoy doing a wide range of exercises. Calisthenics just got added to the rotation (at the very low levels). Keep it up!

I love that you include knee push-ups in your progression. As a yoga teacher, I would rather see students do knee chaturanga well than a not great plank position chaturanga and never improve. If y’all want to do yoga, I don’t know what the scene in Norway is, but Sweden has a big yoga community. I can recommend teachers to help open your hips (I came here from the other collab on Magnus’s channel) on a healthy manner. All that said, both of you are badasses and an inspiration for even basic handstand work!

If you ever see this comment, I just want to thank you greatly for this video! You showcased tips and tricks that i've never heard of. I grew up walking on my hands but i could never hold a handstand. Now because of you, i can easily hold a handstand, i can do 10+ freestanding handstand push-ups and next goal is the planche.

Don't know if I'll ever really work towards a handstand pushup, but I will definitely be incorporating these wrist exercises into my after-climbing-workout!
