We saw a lot of hostility this past week in pro-wrestling both as part of the show(s) and in real life.
Cody Rhodes took exception to some off-color comments by AEW Women's Champion Toni Storm (in character) that got much of the wrestling internet talking. Gabe Kidd is furious in his promos and in the latest press event for the upcoming Wrestling Dontaku show for New Japan, claiming that most of the IWGP Championships have been made a joke but he's going to take the NEVER Openweight Title and make it mean something again. And Kenny Omega is the latest victim of the New Elite as Omega made his return to AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday with disastrous results.

It's insane that the only companies I've seen treat Jake Something like a star are DPW and BLP. I'm afraid he's gonna be the next Brian Cage with companies missing out on him until he physically declines.

With the elite storyline, this wouldve been god tier if Punk was still involved. I think what they're doing now is awesome, even if the views arent as up. It comes down to letting it play out because like you said, theres different avenues you can go with all this. Dont forget about Joe , as you can easily insert him fighting alongside Swerve. Hell, the elite could add more members or adversaries, like we saw with Christian. Its different and you cant go wrong with it at the end of the day.

I can definitely see Gabriel kidd becoming new Japan's Gaijin Ace when Zack sabre Jr hangs it up in the future He reminds me of a lot of MJF in a Good way i can totally see AEW, WWE and New Japan playing their Cards in the future trying to get their hands on Gabriel Kidd huge Fan of his. I'm an admitted WWE and Mox fan, so go ahead and jump on me. However, I'm tapped out with the Gabe Kidd stuff. Like... This angle/character might work for most. But logically, Shingo is the SPECIFIC champion you can't run this character with as THE main champ that still has that strong style you're saying is lost lol. He's FREAKING SHINGO. And what if Gabe beats him? Another belt on a white man. Gedo... Maybe Gabe should take the Global belt off Nemeth and cause friction with "that's my belt" Finlay? Just a thought.

If you want the Elite to really get heat, Have Mercedes join them and win the Women’s title. Have them abusing the power against anyone after them, like they can’t stop a title match but they put the Challengers up against impossible odds (3 matches in a night, Battle Royales, Restarted matches). Vince made some stars with the Corporate baddie role, this is AEW’s chance at that.

I have said this once, and I will say it again.... New Japan has literally gained nothing from this partnership with aew. Honestly, the aew fan base doesn't even give a fuck about njpw until forbidden door begins.

Njpw- Excited to see the rise of Gabe Kidd. Curious to see who steps up to beat Mox. Forbidden Door would be a good night for that change. WWE- We do feel like we are in the post Mania downs. Usually picks up into the summer. Losing Rhea right now was a blow. I'm finding the Bloodline stuff interesting. Love Tama Tonga interested the direction of that. I'm also excited for the King of the Ring tournament. AEW- The Elite storyline does open possibilities. I know Blood and Guts is usually in June every year. I do see this storyline going until All In. For Swerve, I thought they'd do Ospreay v. Swerve at All In, but I can see them doing Swerve and Page there.

I'm most intrigued to see where they're going with Ospreay because with him coming in so blazing hot, you'd think the natural move would be to crown him at Wembley, but for the moment he's going for the International belt. So do they string him along to let Swerve have a longer run, or is he just taking a somewhat more circuitous route to the World title after all?

I think one of the reasons the story telling is starting to get better for AEW is because they signed two of WWE's writers a few months ago.

I’m not feeling Okada in AEW, it feels like when Bret Hart went to WCW, I feel like he should be in NJPW putting on matches with the young up and coming talent getting them ready for the main event scene, on another note, I hear a lot of WWE fanny boys calling Okada a fake/wannabe Cody! Okada was wearing suits and carrying himself like a champion since like 2012 while Cody was getting jobbed out as Stardust, these fanboys are something else!!

The "partnership" between AEW & NJPW is completely one sided NJPW guys hardly get a win against AEW guys and they damn sure would never get to hold the AEW title I'm still happy there working together but I wish NJPW could receive more love.

I've said that Cody was no good, ever since his match with Jay Lethal. He had mediocre matches with Kota Ibushi for crying out loud. He couldn't make it in NJPW so he started AEW, and he couldn't even stay over there. WWE is the best fit for him. I wish him well. I hope he has a long career over there and leaves the rest of us alone.

New Japan has really lost my favor. They’ve taken such a huge nose dive. And it’s such a shame because the United Empire vs War Dogs Dog Pound match made me feel like the company was in good hands. Now it’s just really poor. Tanahashi has been terrible as a president thus far. And Gedo/Rocky have lost their fucking minds.
