I have seen an increase in probiotic and prebiotic skincare recently, and even more products containing postbiotic ingredients. But what actually is the difference? Is there really true probiotic skincare for sale? And what out of the pre, pro and postbiotics is actually beneficial for your skin?

Thank you for the post-biotic explanation. I didn't know they were the "ferment lysates." I can"t afford the Lauder one, but I do use Inkey "Lists Multi-Biotic" mostly because of the outrageous claims the company who created the "Brightenyl" (tri-hydroxy benzoic acid alpha glucoside) ingredien in it.

Yes, I have read about Brightenyl and even used a product that contained it, but can´t say it did the wonders promised, at least not for me. The Multi Biotic one has been on my list for a while too, but what can I say? I need more faces to test all the skincare I am interested in...

Hello!! I hope you are doing well!! thanks for your videos about Pre,Pro,Postbiotic !! i have a question that is it affected & safe to use 100% of postbiotics ( Bifida Ferment ) ? or shall i mix to use with post & prebiotic (oct) products ? as pre+probiotics worked well together. i am very confusing.. pls help me to figure it out... thanks indeed 🥰

It is safe to use products only containing postbiotics, but you can also combine all three although, as I said in the video, you will most likely not get true probiotics in your skincare.

Fascinating! Is skin fungus considered part of this area of research?
@DoctorAnne
@DoctorAnne 4 жыл бұрын
This is not clearly defined, but as a broad term it applies to every lining thing on the skin, which would include fungi.

Doctor Ann, can the preservatives in skincare (with antimicrobial properties) damage the microbiome on the skin once it's applied? Ciao from Italy! L
@DoctorAnne
@DoctorAnne 3 жыл бұрын
The preservatives used in skincare are designed to prevent microbial overgrowth in the pot, once you spread it out on the skin the effect won´t be too big.
