Galax Gang I’m also a wind player (flute, been playing for 8-9 years) and I meant this as a joke. I actually was somewhat implying that wind players are more lighthearted, I suppose? And there’s nothing wrong with not being serious. If anything, I meant this as a good thing. But again, it was just a joke.

“The bassoon is one of my favorite instruments. It has a medieval aroma, like the days when everything used to sound like that. Some people crave baseball...I find this unfathomable, but I can easily understand why a person could get excited about playing the bassoon.” ― Frank Zappa
@mcalad6255
@mcalad6255 3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with Zappa! The bassoon has always been one of my favorite instruments. It has something unique in its sound... you can almost taste it: antique furniture smell, fine tobacco and whiskey aroma, leather black sofa, a medieval cottage. Can't explain. And the bassoon starting solo of the Rite of Spring has always brought me goosebumps, since first time I saw Disney's Fantasia as a kid.
