When I first saw the title, I instantly gave Balalaika the win (same as most people) simply due to all the experience she and her men have obtained from war/combat. -1v1, Bala wins hands down. She just too experienced and far more capable than Koko in a fight or on a battlefield; she literally has the scars to prove it. Koko, in a sense, is far too sheltered as she comes from money, and while she can very well handle a gun despite herself, she still falls short compared to Bala, or even someone like her (Revy, Roberta, Eda, take your pick). So yeah... -Now, give them their squads with same # of men and throw them into battle, and Bala's team would still win. For this I'd have to say "no school like old school", and reason why is, as you've stated and as is well-known, they're all experienced, war-hardened veterans who can dominate virtually any terrain and eviscerate their targets. They may not rely on tech as much as Koko's team would, but they know how to make do without it, and that I believe is what give them the win. -For the final scenario, however, I agree with your conclusion and do believe sufficient prep time would be the deciding factor. With ample prep time comes amassing all the resources at your disposal, and it's shown that Koko has that shit on lock. Yes Bala and her men have their combat experience, weapons training and elite marksmanship, but being stuck in the small scope of a city like Roanapur heavily limits their options. Tanks are too big and “modern” technology might be too much of a culture shock to them that they’d rather go without it as they feel they couldn’t keep up. Koko being more into sophisticated and advanced technology gives her side that considerable edge, as she combines both military tactics and arms dealing with expert use of tech to dominate anyone in ways they couldn’t imagine, let alone manage to do themselves. In short, yes Balalaika might come out on top when fighting with what’s available to her and relying on her own skills as a war veteran, but that would only work in certain conditions (i.e. the first 2); on the other hand, Koko would definitely win when given just enough time to plan and outmaneuver and eventually overwhelm her opponent with the seemingly endless resources she has (money, weapons, connections, tech), to the point that she wouldn’t even need to set foot in a warzone to do it. THAT’S BADASS. Great vid, definitely made me learn something and even changed my view on the subject that I had to rewatch the last scenario to understand it better. Koko has experience too in my opinion at least and her team is unbelievably skilled only unable to deal with seal team six balalaika wasn’t able to handle the twins in direct combat who for all their skills were just two kids. And yes she did eventually win. But she had to split them up. Meanwhile I don’t think that’s possible with Koko’s team I think they are just stronger overall valmet for example is basically Roberta in terms of strength

ProfessorViral koko I think would win both because she has access to more serious weapons like she was able to get multiple rockets into space and get access to SAMS also if you take the song “time to attack” into account she has more guns than the navy though I think that’s an exaggeration. But even when she had soldiers betray her convoy she annihilated them. She essentially defeated the world by the end of jormungand (I’m exaggerating but she made airplanes no longer a thing) I just think given the scale of black lagoon vs jormungand koko wins but balalaika has a chance at least I’d say a 30% chance maybe 40% I think koko has the edge

I should have specified, I said that one with the intension that they would deal with her with men from elsewhere in the organization. There's for sure nothing that could shift her men's opinion of her

I haven't seen much comic related stuff to say, but it seems like a fair comparison. Koko can basically money her way out of a situation. It's fair to say she may come out on top in some of the battles under the 2nd scenario, if she's able to predict their movements, adjust, and apply some pressure from her arsenal. I would definitely agree that it would be close though, the only two of her's I'm giving a good survival rate to are Jonah and Valmet

@@ProfessorViral lehm is ex delta force and im not sure if ur counting r as alive or dead but both of these ppl actually out rank valmet with any type of gun also Willie is delta force Idk if he'd rank above valmet with a gun or not but I'd imagine so but can't make it 100% but as shown in the show he usually has explosives on hand so he can use them in the instant which he's a fucking master mind at and as far as gun play goes I would put Jonah below all the ones mentioned in this list but he does have that 6th sense which helps a shit ton but still doesn't quite make up for his lack of aiming skills

So much so that Caquita was sad to seem him go and said that she would rather lose one of her other teammates then Jonah because he was so strong. That's very true, with Koko at her fullest capacity, anyone against her is pretty much unfair. That's why I included the first two scenarios, to emphasize that Balalaika is excellent, but loses simply to the result of billions of dollars

Have now seen and like your input between the two..yes each have their strengths and weaknesses, one old school while the other is somewhat of a Techno Freak.. When all is said and done, it just comes down to the leadership and there is a good chance when the dust settles..it would just be the two of them standing face to face with guns drawn.. But what happens during that stand off..would be the stuff of legends..

however theres some points i disagree on, for example balalaika beeing limited to 8 soldiers, and yes that would be fair if they weren't fighting velmet and the war child, their agility is vast superior than the hotel moscow soldiers and therefore the 2x8 (or 2x9 if balalaika was included) would be a simple win for valmet, the soldiers have experience in war, but so do valmet and the war child, and their agility is on equal foot as balalaika if not superior, meaning that in a 2v1 against balalaika would not end well for her, now onto thinking about the equipment superiority i think that the situation of koko is way better than what was said in the video, she could end the fight with one MQ-9 reaper equiped with hellfires, and even if drones weren't in the combat, koko has acess to mig 29 planes and mi 24 hind helicopters, the hind could be easily killed with something like a stinger anti air missile which balalaika knows because thats what happend in the soviet afghan war, but an aircraft like the mig 29 would take actual SAMs to be shot down, and furthermore talking about the B52 strategic bombers the only way they would be taken down is either with a SAM or with another aircraft. Not to mention aswell that both SAMs and planes could be hacker by jormungand, since SAMs usually use a radar to guide the missile and the plane depends on its instruments to keep flying, those beeing radar and the values given by the plane, like speed and altitude, thinking this way the only possible win for balalaika would be a long range combat with koko being unable to use her tools, koko's squad has 2 good snipers, hotel moscow has 2 confirmed snipers and balalaika herself giving hotel moscow an advantage

With full power Jormungand, they wouldn't even be able to get close to her door. She would have constant surveillance on any threats. Hotel Moscow is good, but the god of information is the best at what she does

As a complete military novice, I honestly gave Balalaika the benefit of the doubt, and believed that they would be adaptable and so on. I can see the argument that they're more set in their ways, as they essentially respond to most things with excessive force, but I don't think I could really make the judgement myself. But, I guess since Koko blows everyone out of the water, it doesn't change much

They each have advantages that help, but with Jormungand Koko's advantages are complete blowouts against almost anyone. For actual combat though, Balalaika for sure takes things

Hey may have the ability to, but I think with Koko a lot of the situations differ to her Jormungand advantage. She'll have a notice that something is going wrong before it can even happen, and she never has to move on them directly
