Homelander. The supposed hero. But what if his origin story is a lie? This video dives into Project Odessa, the Vought program that allegedly birthed Homelander.
We'll explore the disturbing experiments, the exploitation of an innocent child, and the tragic consequences that turned him into a psychopath. Was he a test subject pumped with Compound V, or was there more to his creation?
Discover the hidden clues in The Boys that hint at a darker truth. Project Odessa raises questions: Can humanity control the monsters it creates? Is Homelander a product of science or a victim of circumstance? Join us as we peel back the layers of Homelander's twisted origin.

I noticed how annoyed he got on recent episodes ( season 4) about how basically everyone is terrified of him in the Voght building. Thats why he respects Sage . He also could've killed Butcher at any time throughout this whole series but for some reason will just sit down and have a conversation with him instead in certain episodes. Butcher doesn't fear him. He needs ppl that don't fear him and in his own twisted way either respects or admires them. At least they are their true selves. Not some shaking piles of scared jelly who fake things.

You're not wrong, ofc with butcher he made that deal to fight to the death 1 on 1. When he saw him and soldier boy together he attempted to laser butcher and said deals off, but butcher had temp v at the time.

I have to say one thing to do well i is they make Homelander the pseudo hero of his story here. He psychotically taking revenge, but he’s also facing his demons. Overcoming his tormentors. When he said “none of them had the spine to stand up and say this is wrong” he was 100% correct. he was lashing out, but his vendetta was understandable

..i think i have an idea of what he did in the "bad room" so hear me out.. i think he quite literally recreated almost every torturous durability experiment that the performed on him as a child on every single scientist at that facility..all in that room, right in front of Barbara's eyes, then locks her in there with the aftermath. Showing her exactly what they created.

Yeah, now that I think about it, Homelander's character is pretty nuanced.

Huh... random thought mid episode; wonder if they will end up just depowering him instead of killing him at the end. Would be worse for him in some ways, he'd be human.... something he desperately claims he isn't.

Project Odessa isn't about Homelander IMO, I think it's what they were currently working on The letter at the beginning references "social media" which wouldn't have been a thing when Homelander was a child (assuming their history is roughly the same as ours in that regard)
@SWProds

That means Ryan was their plan from the start. If that's true, then Homelanders' only purpose to Vought from the beginning was to not only create the perfect natural born supe, but also to create his platform. I feel like Edgar had all of this planned from the start. That man is still hiding something very important.
