Dan Souliere when you are at the store, order an extra door and extra metal pieces up top for bracing. The top is just another door cut down to fit

@@prolificbreedaquatics Yes I noticed he vanished, I was surprised he answered a noobie. I did grab the Ikea 2 door. They are out of stock on the one you have and ALL have gone way up in price. Still a 2 door for 2 bills is better than 4. Thanks again for that. I should have it in a couple of weeks, the new tank arrives next week.

About 5 gallons every 1.5 - 2 weeks.

Your top or base wood is slightly bend in the middle , are you sure your rimless tank can hold the pressure. How thick is this wood

nick hw the door is not fully closed. I have a wire coming on on the side. If I can do it again I would add more of the metal beams under the top wood. As for the size I need to go measure. Maybe the ikea site has the dimensions. It’s been up for a year and half so I’m not worried about it holding.

I did not but in hindsight I wish I got more of the metal bars up too from ikea just for peace of mind

I recently assembled the same ikea stand for my new 25 lagoon. It was extremely unstable after it was all put together, no way I would put a tank on it. So I braced the inside with 12 1x2 pine beams and 4 metal corner braces. 3 on each side running vertically and 6 horizontally underneath the top board that supports the tank. I still feel like it has too much give, so I’m just curious how yours is actually supporting 250+ lbs. Does it have any left to right wobble? Tank has been full for a few days and I’m still not convinced the stand is capable of the constant stress of a full load.

I don’t have any wobble. You still get a wobble even with the brace inside ? My tank has been up for over a year and through a couple of California earthquakes ..it’s been fine.

@@prolificbreedaquatics Maybe I just suck at building Ikea furniture. The bracing helped a lot, but I still get some side to side if I push it a little bit. Maybe what I'm seeing is normal who knows. I didn't use legs, just placed it directly on the carpet because I didn't want to reduce the load to 4 points on that MDF board. Keeps me up at night lol.

wish there was a better purchase link - i cant find the hinges cant find the door all i can find is the legs and cabinet skeleton. the site says you have to purchase all those things separately but doesnt assist you in finding the correct pieces needed to complete the build

Yea, when i bought the stand it came with everything. I suggest to just pick out the size and door and go to ikea kiosk and the worker will piece it all together for you. If you are looking for same white door as me I can come back tonight and update the links for you 👍🏼

@@prolificbreedaquatics okay so just go in and the person will help me. thats good to know - i really wish the cabinets came in other colors but white will have to do i may do a lil something different with the door - and im guessing you used a circular saw or something to cut the door in half then placed it on top?

They have lots of colors. You just pick your door and the base. Check out this older video i have on the cabinet.
