Let's take a minute to realize that it was probably Mike Shinoda who was playing the Piano, his parents paid for Concert level pianist lessons from when he was 3 years old and he only moved on to Guitar and Rap when he was a teenager as a natural progression...🤷♂️

The overall idea of the mash-up was popularized with the Grey Album, where Danger Mouse mashed up Beatles and Jay-Z. That eventually led to people mashing up LP/Jay-Z, which inspired LP to do official mash-ups with Jay-Z, which led to this performance. So it's sort of a closing the circle / nod to where mash-ups started, bringing in a Beatle.
