Do not use unique real name. No one actually says that, but for example not linking your social media accounts, but if your real name is unique and the sites require your real name, then you linked your social media once your enter your real name.

I lost trust in proton, after they emailed me, telling me that they scanned my incoming emails and saw that I was signing up for a service, and that I needed to add a backup email to prevent abuse (and that they were blocking incoming emails until I added a backup email). WTF?!?!?

Yeah I had the same thing a few days ago. Said something like email abuse detected. It blocked signing up until I added a backup email -_-

@@ErosPista That’s how PGP works, if you encrypt the sender, title or header, it’s not email and wouldn’t work.

@ErosPista and @MrKornnugget are exactly right. Any big email provider HAS to scan emails to at least a minimal extent in order to help stop the flow of illegitimate emails. PGP can only encrypt the body of the email. Any emailing service needs access to the subject (if filled in) and sender/receiver. That's just how emails have worked since their inception. To mitigate any privacy leaks, generalize your subject lines as much as possible, using only the exact amount of details required.

@@josephferren6372 Tuta does also encrypt the title, but exactly due to that not being standard e-mail anymore, their encryption only works between Tuta users. Proton adheres and contributes to standards, which means that you can send end-to-end encrypted e-mail from your Proton Mail inbox to any other e-mail provider that supports PGP Web Key Directory, and vice-versa.

21:12 - wait wait wait... so, you mean Huawei was the better one out of the bunch, and Samsung had this vulnerability for who knows how long? Huh... I hear one Huawei device, I wonder whats different on that device that made it not vulnerable to it. A specific custom keyboard sounds like would be it... or perhaps something about Harmony OS? Just kinda curious... this is about Chinese keyboards which I don't personally use myself after all.

It’s a trade deal. China bans all American social apps and required Chinese majority ownership for the ones that are not. Tik-Tok is being held to the same standard.

@@MrKornnugget As far as I know, China doesn't ban foreign social apps. They gave themselves time to establish a native ecosystem, which was vital to their independence and a very sensible thing to do. Now, foreign companies have to comply with China's laws or they're not welcome. Some do, some don't. I see no problem with this. The US wants TikTok so they can control what people think. Unfiltered truth is dangerous for people who support immoral things. Aside from controlling the narrative, demoralizing China and cutting off their profits is a "bonus". Anything which moves us closer to war helps sell weapons. Provocation is productivity, from a certain perspective. I'd rather strive for harmony and peace, but I don't run the country.

Proton VPN is being broken for IMSI catchers. I have it config TCP with Always on VPN with Kill switch to block all network activity when VPN not on with VPN accelerator all others are off breaks with US only and with Germany any time AI ChatBox used like Perplexity or others VPN becomes half broken leaking not secure but still connected.

@@RadikAlice On the free tier of Proton, you are still able to get the Openvpn/Wireguard configs, thus allowing you to connect to the other free servers using a different client. I'm still able to connect to the Netherlands server even though I'm a U.S. resident.

First off, Biden isn't in the lame duck phase so I don't know what you're on about. Lame duck presidents are presidents who have been voted out of office and are serving the remainder of their term in between Election Day and January 20. Second off, 90 Felony Trump already took the Republican nomination for president, so we're kind of stuck between Biden and Trump this election. There can be no Kennedy administration for 2025.
