Nnaa Meh, Tv. I wish you invited me for this discussion so that I could enlighten the man on red or pink shirt on what actually happened during and after the Civil War. The so-called Igbos did not despise the Ikwerre, but it was a political arrangement/agreement between Gowon and Diette-Spiff, the then administrator of Rivers State.

That man's education is questionable if he claims that his gaining admission despite having a lower cutoff mark is because of the love of the Igbos. It is a federal government educational policy in federal institutions ,drafted to benefit minorities in Nigeria.It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Igbos. Of course he is more igbo friendly because he lived there for more than 35 yrs,but it's either he is ignorant or he is telling a bold faced lie.

@@balafama2120 you are missing his point. He is simply telling you that there was no discrimination in the then eastern region. Rather than discriminate disadvantaged people from minority groups in the eastern region were given a pride of place and equal opportunity.

Glad you allow the guy in orange to speak himself into oblivion.... he's one of the reasons why Igbo unification is very necessary. You don't just become someone else just because a politician said "Igbos are goal getters. We have a lot of Igbo ikwerre who are goal getters with big ambitions does that make them anti themselves?

I try to understand the difference between what this Youth leader is speaking as Ikwerre man and the general Igbo dialects but nothing. Why are this people trying to make mockery of themselves because of Politics. I'm from Ebonyi State, Enugu, Abia, Imo etc will hear his this Ikwerre dialect more perfectly than mine dialect but we all speak the same language which is Igbo. May God help us.

When we were in the eastern region together, we carried development agendas together with out any marginalization, which led Dr Michael okpara to establish hotel presidential in port Harcourt which is still the best and the biggest hotel in port Harcourt until date. So saying that the Igbos from the other side want to dominate and confiscate their land and property is not true at all.

I hereby urge all the Igbo's sons and daughters to start opening different pages online for the"unification of Idigbo" Most especially, the igbos in kogi, Benue, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Bayelsa and Cross River State. The entire Igbo youths have to take this struggle upon themselves. This is not an easy task oooooo! We are fighting against kingdoms, if you don't know🤷 Because there are many kings that are fighting against this movement. We Igbo youths all over the world have to rise up; and take this movement upon ourselve 🙏 The time is now👇 or never 🤷

He wash them to the extent that they started renaming towns from meaningful to meaningless eg Obigbo to Oyigbo., Umu- to Rumu-. The brainwashing was so deep that it permeated to the level of government.

It is inherently foolish to deny your heritage and try to join yourself with people who may be strangers to you. This is not about them, it is about the future of their generations to come. They will always be strangers to these people they are adjoining themselves to. Hausas are at Owerri doing their business without anybody bothering them. This is what they heard, not what they have experienced. Ibos lost everything in Port Harcourt in the name of abandoned property.

Ikwerre is Igbo but Awolowo and Gowon killed and divided Igbos They told them lies so they could hate other Igbos and told other Igbos lies that Ikwerre took their homes and properties so they could hate them when it was actually Ijaws who took those properties Difference is Igbos is South East never talk about the stolen properties bcuz they have outgrown it with success. The fact that they all had to resort to English at some point is an eye opener. The presenter guy trying to speak and impose his own brand of igbo.. Igbos must learn to respect the individuality of Ikwerre and other Rivers groups if they want a partnership. The obsession with the idea that these grps must call themselves Igbo when there has never ever ever been a pan Igbo nation in human history reeks of the domination that these smaller ethnicities fear.
