Puławy - The Polish Athens!

Күн бұрынThis week I take you to the city of Puławy, not too far from Lublin, one with a story of aristocrats who made a paradise where many important Polish figures would treat as a holiday home, with it's impressive palace and the gardens surrounding it, it is well worth a visit and makes a great spot for a day trip!

Puławy is the biggest Polish city located on the Vistula river between Cracow and Warsaw. I appreciate that you decided to go there - not so many Poles are aware of the importance of Puławy for our history and culture. I also think you should come back there to see the museum located in the Czartoryski Palace, the temple of Sybilla and the Domek Gotycki.

Thanks for the clarification, now I understand what was meant by the size of the city 😅 Agreed, I was sad to miss the museums on that trip, I hope to go back one day so I can see them properly!

Polecam odwiedzić pobliski Łańcut, gdzie można zwiedzić zamek Lubomorskich (naprawdę robi wrażenie) i inne zabytki, jak np stara powozownia.

Actually I’m hoping to do a tour of this region later in the year and Łańcut is on my shortlist of places to go 😊

Gosh, I hate these silly comparisions! Pulawy is not the Polish Athens, it's simply Pulawy, a lovely town. It's like I said York is the British Brussles or so. It's really annoying and stupid.

Actually historically it was called the Polish Athens, hence the name of the video…not sure if you actually watched the content 😛

@@wrotamas It is also strange really as at 1.13 he says ''...and yes, it's a very green city...'' every town he visits in Poland is a city, even a small village where as we say in Polish: 'tam gdzie psy dupą szczekają.'
