Good video. What I like to have people do is 2 minutes of dead hangs on the pullups bar. If this has to be done in 20 seconds sets, that's fine. Just get the 2 minutes in. I recommend this 3 times a week. Or every other day. Try to add 5-10 seconds to your dead hangs until you can do them for a minute set. Once you get the minute in add weight to your dead hangs and start over again. This increases your grip strength also.

Great tips Brian ,as usual. My current pull-up goal is a one-arm pull-up, I previously used weighted pull-ups to achieve it but plateaued at 75lbs (BW 200lbs). I recently started doing one-arm assisted pull-ups using the assisted pull-up machine (available at most commercial gyms) to try and break through that plateau. Are there any tips to getting that goal? Thanks

The problem I have with working back is I start to develop some kind of RSI in my elbows if I do things like pull-ups regularly. Tennis or golf elbow, or both. I started to get a really weird burning sensation in the joint at one point. And it takes forever to heal or go away, so I work my back and arms fairly lightly and irregularly for fear of those chronic strain injuries coming back.

I was kinda pissed yesterday and then decided fk it lets see what I can do for one rep. Ended up working all the way to 95 lb's for a single and it was a total game changer for morale. Point being, don't get discouraged this has been a fun process and I felt like a damn beast. Here is to everyone doing weighted pullups and getting to the 2-3 plate club.
