Detail and restore a Porsche 924 interior

Another classic that reached our hands, this time a Porsche 924 that was in need of some tlc in the interior. All textiles were cleaned, the leather was washed and conditioned, the driver's seat leather was repaired and painted, the dashboard cracks were repaired and then repainted.
Outro clássico que chegou às nossas mãos, desta vez um Porsche 924 que precisava de alguns cuidados em todo o interior. Todos os tecidos foram limpos, a pele foi lavada e condicionada, a pele do banco do condutor foi reparada,as rachadelas no tablier foram também reparadas e pintado.

Having owned a black on black 924, this was impressive - especially the restoration of the original dash.

Just an amazing restoration.I had no idea you could repair severe tears and cracks! Restorer complete repaired cracked and damaged bucket seats and the dashboard. Just amazing. Even an amazing cleaner can't completely restore all of the interior components. For example, the carpet looked like it should have been replaced, along with the steering wheel and some of the instrument panel. Again, thanks!!!

I have a Guards Red 1983 Porsche 924, that I won on TV, 22yrs ago. I have spent a fortune on him & he is stunning. I'll never sell him 😊

it is amazing what is doable with the right tools and expertise....btw the front seats look great against the rest of the car.....the toughest is reparing the cracked dashboard, well done....

There are so many 924s out there with cracked dash tops (and others) you could make a whole video just for that with your repair method - amazing job!

Please ask them and buy it man ! I got a 924 and restoring an abondoned 944 now. Trust me, it’s the best decision I’ve made in my life so far !

Awesome job, I was wondering, in relation to the leather interior, do you use some type of leather protectant, to protect & enrich the leather interior, like to mention one of so many leather protectant, & conditioners like Lexol, Turtle Wax, or any other brand, as to the cracked dash, they have a repair kit, if the dash is not that far beyond repair, since I can only see cracks mainly due to the sun, the kit is to repair both leather & vynil.and is made by Permatec, what do you think ?, that car is starting to look awesome again.,👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Why didn't you start with the dash? To me it seems counterintuitive to clean the whole car first. Amazing work btw.

It had to do with my available time, the work was divided into several parts, the dashboard was only able to do at the end because that was when I was able to do the work followed without interruption 😫 Thanks 😀🙏

Always wind the windows down an inch,and spray on to cloth rather than direct to window

The problem with the type of dash repair seen here is that the repair sites become visible again after a year or so. Cracks develop where the filler material is applied. The dash can be removed and a redone by werk924.com. They re-cover it completely. They also make all new dashes.

Just sand back and bondo it. Paint after for the same effect as this

Thanks 🙂 Super glue with baking powder, in the larger cracks to help i fill with sponge and super glue. Much more resistant than scracth filler.

I watch a lot of these interior cleaning videos and I always wonder why you guys always just agitate the seats with cleaner and a brush and then just wipe it off. I feel like that doesn't get it fully clean. Most of it gets picked up, but the rest just gets smeared over the seats. I would either go over with cleaner and a rag again or a just a damp rag with water. I feel it would be like if you were to wash your face with soap, but just wiping with a towel instead of rinsing it off with water. Just my thought though.
