As a UConn fan I tread carefully. Both Purdue and UConn haven’t beaten anyone yet. The real tournament for both starts this upcoming weekend. No offense to USU and NU but those guys are not at the level for people to say Purdue and UConn are ready to play in the final or even be surprised by their dominance.

You don’t have to beat a top 10 opponent to show you can beat a top 10 opponent. These two teams are elite and when the time comes I believe they’ll rise to the occasion

Wally is clueless - "adding transfers" (plural) - "retooling the roster" - Purdue added 1 transfer otherwise the rosters is exactly same - older, more developed, etc...

Hopefully aztecs can give uconn a better game this time. In order for sdsu to win feel like they have to limit the turnovers. Ladee needs to go for 30. Waters, Trammell, Saunders, Parish all need to go for 10+

Clingan is a better defender than Edey mainly because he only plays 20 minutes per game and UConn can afford to have him pick up a few fouls. Purdue can’t afford to have Edey play aggressive defense. Northwestern thought they were going up against Edey and didn’t figure out Clingan for a while.

NW was also without their 7 foot center and Ty Berry. If they were at full strength that probably would've been a close game. I think Buie felt like he needed to do it all, so he was really trying to force things.

@soccerplyr8 Yep. I'm well aware. 4 more games for Purdue to cut down the nets. But what I'm interested in is what your opinion of "far" is. Do they need to beat Gonzaga on Friday? Do they need to make it to a Final Four? How do YOU measure success for this team? I'm also now a little confused at your comment about the quality of opponent Purdue has played... I thought we were talking distance in the tournament, not HOW we get there. Purdue can't help their draw.* They can only play who's in front of them. I'm sure you understand how seeding works. *I suppose they actually CAN help their seeding. That's what's having one of the toughest strength of schedules and winning does.
