PVR Priya IMAX just became the first standalone IMAX in India, and one more Delhi's standalone IMAX. This theatre has IMAX Laser, and is one of the biggest venues in India when compared to other theatres. I watched Oppenheimer here, and you can watch and enjoy #Jawan at #PVR #imax

That is more wishful thinking than reality at this point in time. The only way is to have a hybrid auditorium and whoever makes that must keep in mind that the film projector is only going to be used once in 4-5 years incurring all sorts of loss. It has to be a passion project of the theatre owner where he/she is basically burning money for people to have that true IMAX experience.

One cons of PVR Priya is that you can eaisly hear the sound from a bar/club beside it. It ruins the experience when there is silence in movies. For me IMAX Noida is still best overall.

visited pvr priya recently , it takes the throne of best imax in Delhi easily... the moment u step into the auditorium it feels surreal and when the movie starts damn i cant explain u have to feel that picture sharpness and earthquake like sound system .....its a must visit for cinema fans ...ticket prices are also very low ....... one drawback is its not soundproof so never visit after 5 pm , there is a pub beside theatre u can hear music coming from there

@7:49 Just came here to tell you that there are three more coming after that. One in Wadala, Mumbai one in Jaipur and One is yet to decide. The deal happened recently between, IMAX and Miraj Cinemas. They will be Laser Projectors, I don't know Dual Projection or not. But ... Yes good to have one in Jaipur, where I did not even find a Barco 4K flagship till date. Even Rajmandir is playing it on 2K projection on a 33 feet tall screen.

Hey, KD. What do you think about Gurgaon PVR IMAX at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. I have found it to be really effective for the top half seating as I saw Oppenheimer from the second row from the top. But, I have experienced movies sitting in the early rows and it's neck stiffness invite which is definitely a deal breaker. What do you think about that?

Ambience is fine. I used to love the theatre as I used to live in Gurgaon but after looking at the other IMAXes it pales a little. It’s exactly like Select Citywalk without Laser that’s all

Yes but at this screen size you don’t see the effects of Dual Laser. A single laser unit is more than enough. I’m curious to see 3D performance

Bollywood should make more films filmed on Imax digital cameras or on Imax 70 mm which are widley available in India (Digital IMAX). I can't wait for the future of Bollywood. Jawan was insane !!! But it wasnt in Imax in Florida.

Small correction brother digital imax screen aspect ratio is 1.90.1 and 70/15 film imax aspect ratio is 1.43.1 Please understand it perfect brother that was not flat 1.85.1 aspect ratio

I didn't know it supports HDR. How is its colour reproduction when compared to a CoLa projection? Are the blacks deep enough? PS I really hope soon we will have Dolby cinemas & a commercial 1.43 imax in India as well. Great Review, Thanks

HDR was just referring to my video hahaha I honestly think there’s no difference compared to XT and CoLa. Although I feel 3D performance might have a difference and CoLa could get an edge

I'm not really sure if it was the best. Watched Oppie at Vishal and Priya. Vishal's clarity i.e. crispness and sound was very much better than Priya. The seating is brilliant at Priya though but for some reason the picture quality just wasn't the best. What seats do you recommend at Priya btw

I watched jawaan 1st day 1st show on PVR Priya imax. It's a really good IMAX but not better than the Select City Walk IMAX. It just doesn't compare to it. Sure, it's better than Vegas or Noida ones but not Select City Walk.

Select Citywalk is one of the worse IMAXes in NCR I don’t know why you feel that way It’s one of the smallest in NCR too. 55ft vs 68 or 70ft

@@KDCloudy size is not the only thing, the sound is better, the seating format is better, the imax 3d is the best, and i don't like being seated so close to the screen, it feels crammed. There isn't much leg space either. I don't know why but i like the projection quality better too.

Hyderabad is the only city to get first imax and converted to big screen. Apart from that having so many imax screens across all mretro cities hyderabad still doesnt have any imax screen. @KDCloudy Do u have any reasons y installing such a situation in hyderabad. One more thing I know its price senstive market in hyderabad but 4DX theatres are still the same prices as IMAX. But y no imax hyd?
