This might seem like such a trivial thing to other people but I really like how you don't edit out any of the stirring, mixing, adding of ingredients, etc. I like being able to watch you to see how it comes together, what it looks like in the process, etc. Food shows on TV don't show that stuff because I think they think it doesn't matter.

I never really comment on many things but I feel inspired. I used to watch Paula Deen show with my mother all the time when I was younger. We always enjoyed cooking together and we still do when we get together. We have been living on different continents for a long time and unfortunately get to see each other about once a year. These daily videos make my day honestly. Every time I watch them it makes me think of my mom and the happy moments. Thank you again Paula. Much love ❤

Paula, my search for the perfect apple cake is over! I made the cake - cutting ingredients in half as the Bundt size was too much for one. Half the ingredients fit nicely in a loaf pan and was ever so moist. Thank you a million times! Use 2 Granny Smith apples and light brown sugar instead of white (used what I had). The sauce took the cake another level. Yummy!!

If ever there was a situation that fits the following quote from Shakespeare's "As You Like It", it's our dear Paula's Quarantine Cooking videos: "Sweet are the uses of adversity, which like the toad, ugly and venomous, wears yet a precious jewel in his head." Our adversity of course has been the COVID-19 pandemic and the upheaval it has brought into our lives this year. But the "precious jewel" within that ugly and venomous adversity has been the arrival of Paula Deen's marvelous Quarantine Cooking videos that sustain us so faithfully. I personally feel blessed that I can tune into Paula's video each morning and shed the cares of the day for awhile. And I am so grateful that Paula has decided to continue welcoming us into her kitchen indefinitely. Chez Paula feels like family to me now and I also feel, as Shakespeare ends his quote about that famous toad, "I would not change it." Thank you, Paula. ❤

Paula, back in the late 60s or early 70s, when I was in high school, I discovered a recipe for fresh apple cake which was very similar to yours!! I love to cook, so I made this for my family quite often, and we just loved it!!!! Years later, I discovered that I am allergic to many foods, including apples, oranges, cinnamon, and pecans!!! I sure would love a piece of that cake right now!! And the hardest part IS waiting for it to cool! I used to pot about half of the sauce on it in the pan and let it soak ib. Then I would turn it out into a large plate and pour the rest of the sauce on it! YUMM!!!!! Thanks for the walk down memory lane!!!!!!!!!!

Paula Deen I am so happy to hear that you are going to continue the cooking KZfaqs I totally enjoy watching them. I do believe there was a time that you had a cooking show I don't remember my mind's old so I don't remember but I watched you all the time. You bring so much joy and laughter and you just seem easy going. I'm 74 and I have two boys just like you do. I have always enjoyed cooking been cooking family recipes since I was 8. I truly enjoyed cooking and make dishes but nothing, nothing like you do Paula. I taught my boys to cook they can cook better than me now I got older can't remember all the stuff. My boys are what I call mutt and Jeff. My oldest is 5'9" and youngest is 6'6". I remember when my oldest was 9 and youngest was 5 my oldest wanted to know why his brother was bigger. He was born first so just why. So I am here explaining I told my Son my side of the family is short people and your Dads people are Amazons. My husbands side are all very tall. My son said so. My husband then explained you took after Moms side of the family and your brother took after mine. We could tell he was not happy with that answer LOL

I remember when I was in high school back in the late 60’s we made a Fresh Apple Cake in Home Ec every year! Our beloved teacher, Mrs Mac (short for McMillan), was the best teacher ever! One thing she had us do when making the Fresh Apple Cake was to mix it with our hands after adding the apples, coconut, and pecans! That was a first for me and I’ve never forgotten it! But it was such a wonderful cake! Don’t know why I haven’t made it since, but I am definitely going to now! 😍

I’ve made several of the recipes you’ve shared and they’re all delicious. But the most important thing to me personally is the way you show grace and humor in the face of everything that is going on in the world today. Oh, Paula, thank you for considering to continue with this cooking show after the covid issue has subsided. You are a delight and this reminds me so much of your early cooking shows where you were letting me visit with you while cooking. I use to sit at my mother's bar and watch her cook those delicious country meals to include cornbread, sweet iced tea, and a dessert! It seemed she made an entire meal in 30 minutes or less. Miss her so much.

I have made this cake so many times minus the nuts, coconut and orange juice and no butter milk glaze. And I add tablespoon of lemon extract or fresh lemon juice. My kids love it so much.Today my 15 year old son made it for first time.

LOVE these you tubes it is so comforting to sit in your kitchen and watch you cook. The stress of the quarantine disappears when you share time with us. Thank you for the blessing of family, friends, It is amazing how warm and peaceful it is to share your kitchen. Being home alone thru this quarantine is depressing, but you bring in the cheerful light. I have never been to the Lady and Son's but it is on my bucket list. Love and hugs from Ohio

Ms. Paula you made my day to continue cooking and sharing recipes on youtube. I can just smell the apple cake baking and I just know it's going to be delicious. Now about that fig cake. I have two fig bushes and I have never thought to make cake with them. I do hope you will share the recipe very soon because I picked my first fig yesterday. Have a wonderful day everyone. I'll catch you all tomorrow evening after work. (sigh)

Miss Paula, my Grandmother use to make this cake for me every Christmas, she layered it and topped with cream cheese frosting with coconut and pecans added. I loved that cake so much I inherited the recipe when she passed, thank you for the memory.
