Which class are you going to make your Void Elf?

I'm SO in love with these gorgeous Void Elves! Their vague lore is good I think, gives us a lot of wiggle room to make up our own scenarios. I'm happy to have another Windrunner as a "leader" since Sylvanas has kinda gone off the deep end. I loved the scene at the end with Turalyon as well!

Lmao "big ole shadow lizard"

My Ren'dorei joined a Void cult soon after her parents died. She trained to be a monk to keep her focus. Now she has to live with the alliance, and she hates it!. She got a bit weird and randomly starts to talk to herself, but it's fine. The rest of her family (my other characters) are still blood elves. She just wants to go home...

To me there two classes that I think would best fit a Void Elf character in terms of going hand in hand concept. 1. Shadow Priest - common practitioners of shadow magic 2. Subtlety Rogue - Some speculate that subtlety rogues gain their abilities from shadow magic As such these two class spezeiliations to me would best fit a void elf character as it would make sense for them to have their void powers be the source of the two respective speziliations of the two classes. However what I cant decide is if I want my void elf to be a Shadow Priest or a Subtlety Rogue. On one hand Im staying true to the High/Blood elf background of being a powerful practitioner of magic if I go as a shadow priest. However I already have a Draenei Holy Priest and don't really want to make another priest character even if the shadow is a different play style compared to Holy. On the other hand, just because the High/Blood elves traditionally were the most arcane-imbued race before, doesnt mean they don't have powerful non magic user units like the Farstrider Organization since elves have natural agility. So it would also make since for a Void Elf to have been a rogue before becoming a void elf and uses his/her new void powers to be a Subtlety Rogue. Then again most of the High/Blood elves tend to want to be magic users so there's that issue. In your personal opinion, what class would be a better choice to go hand to hand together with a void elf character. A Shadow Priest or a Subtlety Rogue?

Hello! You said avoid holy priest, but what about monks? Was thinking of going for a void elf who later regretted their decision to dabble in the void and was seeking to calm the whispers and balance their soul. Find peace with the decisions of their past. They were being picked on (putting it mildly) by some local humans in stormwind for their choices but a friendly human monk comes across that and breaks up the fighting, helping the void elf. The young elf begins to admire the monk, and asks if they can teach them how to defend themselves. The human agrees and takes them to the temple of the five dawns on the wandering isle and becomes their master for the duration of the training. The void elf is grateful of all the help they have received and wants to pay it forward so to speak. So they become an adventurer to help out others using their training.

I suspect Void Elf Monks were previously Blood Elf Monks, thus explaining why that class is available.

Lot of developments for the rp community in terms of void elves, what with the new skin tones and blue eye options. I play a void elf that has taken up to monk teachings to help ease the burden of void whispers. I liked the video! I'm from Alabama so it's always fun to hear someone with a southern accent doing content like this.

My main has been a blood elf paladin for a long time. Once Blizzard finally allows void elf paladins, he will be one of the exiles from Silver Moon who took to the void. I really want to play an alliance blood elf paladin

I think Holy and Discipline can both work, after all the void elves whole thing is the void is also just a tool to be used just like the light. One could totally rp a void elf that uses the light as a way to balance out the void and help them keep in control

To this day I am still surprised about the Void Elves' origin. When I first heard of them I thought they were former High Elves that learned the power of the void like Alleria, and were a part of her forces that disappeared when Draenor became Outland. I think that origin might still be lore-friendly, but might not be as accepted readily.

I woulda made an arcane mage, but then again theres is the nightborne wich i think fits better for that class,..so il go for the second best choice a shadow priest. What do u think ?

There actually some high elves in the rift who seem to be training to be void elves along with some belves so if you want role playing a high elf who became a void elf it is technically lore friendly

6:06 - I don't know how Alliance could help Quel'thalas when almost all of their land was filled with Undead and ruined by them, but anyway; and BTW after the Second War Quel'thalas and High Elves abandoned Alliance. Did they do anything against the Scourge before they need to fight to defend their land? Same situation takes place in Second War. Only Alleria and her rangers fight alongside Alliance from the beginning - this may be nice reference why Alleria and some of her kin are now in the Alliance, like they once were. "(...) Despite this, the high elves proved reluctant, not viewing the Horde as a serious threat. King Anasterian Sunstrider only subsequently sent a small, token, fleet to aid the Alliance. Some high elves, however, disobeyed the king's orders, choosing instead to join in the fight against the orcs, and answering Lothar's call to war. IMO Void Elves are good idea.

Void elves are just blood elves and high elves, they would have had just as much of an opportunity to learn how to be a monk as any other class before they fell to the void.

Looks like you can RP as an High Elf which is a nice touch.

Maybe the Void Elves learned how to be Monks when they were still Blood Elves

Tbh void elves not being able to use holy magics is just complete bs. Back in vanilla undead were "incarante shadow" which was the opposite of the light and yet there were undead holy priests.

Well follow the warlock, death knight and demon hunter rpers and get out of the major cities.

Does make sense to use holy magic and shadow magic as of Patch 10.5.1 dragonflight. The lore is introducing Lightforged warlocks which directly in the questline a lightforged draenai is struggled with the conflict of using light and shadow magic and finds a way to balance both. SOOOOOOOOOOOO. The people that have been giving people shit for trying to RP as this are delusional and always have been.
