I always hated that shoulder stretch in front of the body that EVERYBODY told me to do and I never felt anything because my shoulders are pretty mobile. Yours was an awesome alternative and if I focus on keeping my shoulders low I do actually feel a nice stretch in the posterior shoulder. Thank you.

This may be a weird comment, but I have had a lot of muscle spasms between my shoulder blades over the years. While I LOVE your stretches, I'm a bit afraid when I do them Any advice for those of us dealing with fear? But overall, I absolutely love your videos. They're so clear and have been tremendously helpful already. Thanks!

Not weird at all! A very good question. There is a very strong emotional component to this work. My suggestion is the ease into it. When I say to contact, do it a little, not a lot, and move slow. Your body will tell you if it’s too much! Please keep me posted on how it goes!

Erin :-) could you please explain again the last part of this video? I can’t quite see the position of your arms and in which direction to resist. The exercises are so effective! Thank you 1000x - ;-)

Yes of course! You will place the forearm palm up in the middle of the mat, which ever arm is down you press into the floor in the same direction. For instance, if the right arm is down, you resist to the right and then move the body to the right dipping the right shoulder towards the floor. Repeat! I hope that helps!

Recently I heart a very interesting comment regardng stretching of muscles: If you have those hardened and painful spots/trigger points (sry, I'm not a native speaker, hope you can guess what I mean), you should first get rid of those before going to stretching. The reason being that you make them worse when you stretch that tissue, just like pulling the ends of a knot: they get tighter and harder to release. Do you think there is any truth or logic to that? Because in that case I would immediately pull out my old Fascia Roll and would start out there before going on with stretching..

Very interesting! I can certainly see the logic. I will do some research on this. One thought I had is that the approach I take doesn’t take the muscle to end-range so h there is no stretching to fill capacity of the muscles. I wonder if that is why this work feels so good! More to learn and think about always for me! Thank you for you message!!

I have Fascai clumps in my shoulders. I am doing PT but I have found it hasn't been effective. Is it possible to remove fascia entirely from exercises like this at a young age of 24?

Are these o.k. to do with rotator cuff injuries? Thank you

The main goal is to execute without pain. You can modify by doing less muscle contraction or range of motion. If you feel discomfort, modify of skip to another area such as the chest, rib cage, or hips!

How does this compare to deep muscle massage
@DailyFascia

Hello! They are not the same although the benefits that one desires from both might be similar. I like to describe this work like feeling you are getting a massage and workout from the inside out!
