You program is excellent and this is why: the clean, simple minimalism, the timer clock, the repetition clock, and the soft-spoken directions. The minimalism keeps me focused on the exercise. The timer clocks are a smart idea and worth the value put into the video. I have been in the fitness arena since 1978 and it is my opinion you do an excellent job, keep making more video, but please don't change a thing.

I have been following your videos for about 6 months now and I am grateful of you... I have lost a good 20 lbs since I started following your videos and altogether I have lost 50 lbs since I started my diet and exercise last April. Love these exercises. Just a suggestion, for all the exercises in every video, could you name and point to the muscle we are working. Also, I love the side views as well as the front views. It is great when you say how not to do it (ie show and the name the correct form). I am interested in doing the exercises correctly to gain the best benefit. Thanks a lot, this is fantastic!

I'm currently Trucking over the road right now and I just paired this video with the other back and bicep resistance band workout that you guys have and all I have to say is I'm grateful I'm at the truck stop in that there's a shower here. I modified some of the movements that you guys did but for the most part it was over all the same workout and damn do I feel every contraction right now. A big big thank you for people like me who don't have much space to get in a good workout. This is definitely going to my saved videos and will become part of my weekly routine.

Just came across your videos and trying this one out when I am home tonight. My wife got me resistance bands for Christmas a couple years ago and it just fit. I am in my 40s with six kids and not a lot of time/money for gyms, so these videos are perfect. Thanks!

ACHV PEAK It was good! I had been doing a bicep/tricep focused workout, but few of the same workouts. I liked the change of pace and shoulder workouts. Found wrapping my bands around my foot was a challenge with my heavier band, but I think I have it figured out for the next time. Thanks again! Most of the kids are in sports now, but I will see if anyone wants an added workout.

We are hardcore into volleyball and spike ball. We play some play some softball and golf as well. I use bands for stability workouts a lot to reduce the chances of knee injuries from instability of the hips and such. We are glad you’re enjoying the workouts.

I am in the hospital right now for bedrest due to pregnancy complications, so I can't do too much, but this short and effective video was really awesome because I all I can do is upper body workouts. And my husband brought me some resistance bands so I can do something. This was great! I can't wait until I do this workout again tomorrow.

Is it me or are they using too low resistance, I can hardly feel my biceps after using 2 bands (one of them is the black one) , So either My resistance bands are cheap af or im too strong which I don’t think is true

This video is SUPER helpful! I’m brand new to lifting weights (well, resistance ha) and I have a question. Is there any chance of the resistance band breaking and if so, what should I watch for? I have a background in medicine so I’m familiar with surgical grade latex, just not in this format. Thanks for making such great content for people like me who don’t have a clue how to get fit! 😊🙌

I need more bands but progressing. My back hasn’t felt this good in a long time. Any suggestions as to what order to work on? Example. Night 1 biceps and shoulders, night 2 chest and triceps... ?

Jeff I think your training schedule should be based around your goals. With that being said, I always try to start my training schedule with primary (larger) muscle groups then as the week progresses move on to secondary muscle groups. A lot of people do split training like you’re talk about like back and bicep or chest and triceps. I personally like to do full body 3-4 times per week. 10-12 exercises 1-4 sets (depending on heavy or light weights. Then I am working all of my muscles 3-4 times per week and rarely have to deal with muscle soreness from trying to stress the muscle since I’m only training it one time in 7 days. As a good reference: - focus on large muscle groups first - focus on small muscle groups second - If training full body multiple time per week avoid pushing to muscle soreness. - If performing split training, push muscles harder due to only training then once per week. - train large muscle groups on days you know you’ll workout. Skipping biceps on a Friday is no biggie. Skipping legs on Friday’s is not cool man.

Also whatever muscle group you want to grow most id put two of those days in your week. For example I used to do two leg days, now I do two chest days. I adjusted to fit my goals at the time. Make sure you have rest days scheduled between those days tho. Hope this helps!!!

Yeah that is fine. You can hold the band at different points to create more resistance if needed.

I've been going to gym for a little over a year and my arms don't get smaller. They are more muscular but how can I get them lean? Will these exercises do that?

To get any muscle, including your arms, more defined requires the reduction of body fat in that area. Proper nutrition and calorie deficit can achieve this.

If you’re not wanting your muscles to get larger in size I would suggest training in a power lifting style. Look at power/ Olympic lifters. They aren’t typically large like body builders but are very dense looking. Low reps, heavy weights, explosive movements. Also, you’ll want to be in a calorie deficit multiple times per week. Another option is to perform more endurance style training. I would suggest avoiding hypertrophy training ( 10-20 rep range).

ACHV PEAK Haha. Not exactly. After 11 workouts there is a slight difference appearance wise in my arms and shoulders. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how I feel. My back often hurts (knots between shoulders) but since I started these workouts there has been next to no pain. I went for a massage yesterday and the practitioner notice my back and shoulders had far less tension. Also, it’s awesome how you can fit the resistance to your own body. It hasn’t bothered my Rheumatoid Arthritis at all. In fact it has improved! Thanks.

Jeff Hansen Music Sessions thanks awesome Jeff. Exercise makes a huge difference. A lot of time with arthritis, working that joint or pain point actually improves function and reduces pain. I have had two knee surgeries and when I go a while with out exercising my knee it starts to bother me pretty bad. Keep up the consistency and update us often. We like to hear about it.

My problem is I'm short, and the resistance bands are too long to use for this type of workout. I even tried wrapping once around my shoes
